UAF Badminton

Bidding farewell to Santosh after his last game with us.

“UAF Badminton Tournament 2025” was all about celebrating the wonderful game of badminton in Fairbanks. The tourney went for over 45 days and finally we have our winners. Congratulations to Satyaki/ Santosh (Winners) , Dr. Ping Lan/ Gavin (runners up) and Jatin/ Nadav (Third spot) for bagging the first, second and third position respectively.
Major missing from the pictures : Roger Topp and Sujon.

Dr. Ping Lan has been a constant strength of UAF Badminton Club for over several decades!! To pay tribute to him for the contributions he made to the club, we named the Tournament this year after his name and felicitated him during the prize distribution. We hope we will see him smiling like this always and play badminton with us for another several decades!!

We had the first round of Dr. Ping Lan Badminton Tournament yesterday and here are some pictures from the same. The Semi-final and the Final matches will be played on Tuesday next.

The UAF BADMINTON TOURNAMENT 2022 is done and dusted and we have new winners!! Congratulations to Puttipong and Arisa for winning the tournament and to Dr. Yin Zhang and Alyana for finishing second. Congratulations to Satyaki and Darshil for bagging the third spot. Special thanks to Tianlang Zhao for capturing these wonderful moments.
