The Maple Fix Farm

A little bit of a rough night last night with a broken sap truck on the way to pick up another load of sap. But SO thankful for family and friends that are pure life savers to go out of their way in the late hours of the night to help us change a U-joint on the truck so we can keep going! Thank you Anthony and Matt! We appreciate you! 🍁

Getting more barrels ready to fill tonight! Going to be a long night boiling and hauling more sap! 🍁

Sap wasn’t running this morning but it warmed up and ran this afternoon. Enough for us to pick up a load tonight! The sky looks so pretty tonight with all of the stars and the bright moon! 🍁

Sap isn’t flowing today, it’s too cold, so it’s a great day to break the evaporator down and give it a good cleaning! Getting ready for this next week of beautiful sugaring weather! 🍁

We had a great time visiting with everyone at the maple open house today!!

Sap is still coming in like crazy!!! We’ve been working around the clock! We’ve received over 36,000 gallons of sap since 1pm yesterday and it’s still pouring in!

Don’t forget! VT Maple Open House Weekend March 21st and 22nd! We will be open for visitors from 10am-2pm each day! Stop by and sample some hot syrup, maple cream, a homemade donut hole topped with hot syrup, maple hot dog and maple creemees! 🍁

Yesterday was a “three truck load” day- nearly 18,000 gallons of sap picked up in addition to all of the sap collected from our Fairfax woods that pumps directly to the sugarhouse!
Sap is running well and we are making some yummy syrup! 🍁
