Friendly reminder that if you head out for a ride and your tires are leaving a deep imprint/trough on the trail then it is TOO WET TO RIDE! THIS CAUSES A TON OF DAMAGE!

Go enjoy one of the many paved paths in our area or simply find another activity for the day.

Fairfax County Board of Supervisors officially proclaimed November 15 Fairfax Recycles Day. The day will coincide with America Recycles Day and build awareness and show support for recycling efforts throughout the County.

Lake Accotink Dam Stream Crossing Project Set for Summer | Park Authority Fairfax County, Virginia - The Fairfax County Park Authority will soon begin construction on the Lake Accotink Dam Stream Crossing Project (LADSC) at Lake Accotink Park located at 7500 Accotink Park Road in Springfield, Virginia.

For anyone visiting or thinking or riding Wakefield trails, this is an example of what NOT to do.

Please be respectful of all trail work being done and stay off of features that are wet!

This is selfish and wrong on all accounts.

Lets get this project funded!

Lake Fairfax Bike Park & Pump Track

We will be breaking ground on our LFX Skills Zone with some touch up work next Wednesday, but we still have some fundraising work that needs to be finished up so let’s talk about how this $25k project will be funded.

Basically, there will be three private funding sources, but you, the reader and individual donor, will be the keystone to the project because multiple sources will be matching your donations so think of every penny you donate as having a 3x multiple. I know you might hate math, but this math simply means more money for sweet jumps with every dollar you donate.

Let me explain the funding sources and where we stand:
$5k already raised
$5k public donations (remaining)
$5k individual donation (requires matching)
$10k MORE Grant (requires matching)
