Congratulations to our young 2-4 yr old dancers who performed in the Creative Showcases this past weekend! Special thanks to Ms. Avery and Ms. Molly, who put so much care and effort into their young dancers. Thank you to as well to our student assistants, who helped out for the shows and also in classes throughout the school year.

Partnering is an essential part of a serious ballet dancer’s training- developing trust, communication, timing, and strength. Dancers learn how to adapt to the unique needs of each individual partner, understanding where a dancer feels most supported, how to place her securely and confidently on her leg, and how to work together as one cohesive unit.

Here, our advanced male dancer rehearses Études with multiple dancers, demonstrating the versatility, focus, and adaptability that strong partnering skills require.

Our Beginner Contemporary class is hard at work rehearsing for the June Concert on June 7! ✨ We love watching these dancers grow in confidence as they prepare to take the stage and share all they’ve been learning this season.

Yesterday, we had the joy of visiting the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club in Bridgeport as part of our mission to bring ballet into the community through outreach performances. Our Pre-Professional Division students performed an excerpt from Giselle, and for many of the children, it was their very first time experiencing ballet. ✨

After the performance, students had the opportunity to meet the dancers, and some even showed us their own dance moves! We always love visiting Wakeman and sharing the beauty and storytelling of ballet with new audiences. 💛
