The Ole Lefthander and the late, great Jim Scott led the 2007 Oktoberfest Zinzinnati chicken dance, and wow is it special to relive this moment. And in typical Joe fashion...he brought some unique, interpretive moves to the festivities!

Of all the big games on tap today and this week, none are bigger than the ones that took place at The Joy Factory today! The fields were pumpin’ with all-stars who showed up to shine and soar! And in front of a community who showed up to cheer, encourage, high-five, and celebrate their awesomeness! Special thanks to our VolunCHEER group, American Heritage Girls who brought big time love and energy!

Congratulations to our guy Teddy Kremer, who placed first in golf in the Special Olympics Regional Tournament! Teddy will now move on to represent Hamilton County at the State of Ohio games this Sunday!

Teddy, you inspire all of us so much! We hope you have a day on the course full of birdies and eagles! Go make us proud!

A hurricane of love, energy, joy, and encouragement came roaring into Steeplechase Elementary this afternoon! Nuxhall Foundation team member Chad Caddell connected with numerous student sessions to share the message of his book, “Joey the Can-Do Kangaroo!”

There was laughter, games, interactive teaching, and the challenge to be I CAN kind of kids- living out kindness, inclusion, friendship, and character. We believe at The Nuxhall Foundation that teaching character to elementary students builds the social and emotional foundation they need for lifelong learning, healthy relationships, and good decision-making. And the Stallions at Steeplechase are building that awesome foundation!

What does hope look like?

Right now, it looks like a field of soy beans, a massive sign, and a dream.

But soon, it’s going to look like a place where bulldozers dig a foundation for opportunity. Where walls will stand as tall as our special needs athletes do whenever they play and achieve what was once thought to be impossible.

And when we cut the ribbon on The Hope Center, it will send a message to our entire region—a welcome for those who were once unable to participate. Because together, we are building opportunity. And empowerment. And belonging. It’s a big building—32,000 square feet in fact—but the dream and the mission have always been bigger.

We’ve had unparalleled progress on our campaign thanks to all of you, and we currently stand at more than $7 million raised; but the goal is $12 million, and we want you involved in this journey.

One of the most heartwarming and tear-filled moments from this year’s Miracle Walk! 🥹

Students and staff from Mt. Healthy South Elementary School came out in full force to pump up the energy and encourage our Miracle Walkers as they made a 21-mile journey on foot from Fairfield to Great American Ballpark.

Thank you, Mt. Healthy South, for bringing the entire team so much joy! This is what a character-driven school looks like!

Busy days are busy; but they’re also a blessing.

It was a wild 48 hours as we hosted the 41st Annual Joe Nuxhall Memorial Golf Outing and the 21-mile Miracle Walk, all in an effort to keep The Ole Lefthander’s legacy going and growing.

Thanks to Rick McCrabb of the Journal-News for recapping all the fun and magic of a difference-making 2 days!

This was like the Cincinnati Reds sweeping a doubleheader from the Los Angeles Dodgers and pitcher Joe Nuxhall winning both games.
