The Expos have finalized their 2026 roster and it's going to be an exciting season!
This is an unbelievable group of hardworking, dedicated and quality young men!

The coaching staff believes this team could be better than the record breaking 2025 Expos who ended their season with a remarkable 68-12 record, winning 4 tournaments and going 16-0 on their northern trip through Montana.

The Expos were established in 1983 and they focus on taking high character players (19 years old and younger) who possess the attributes you can't teach.

The Expos team is not for the faint of heart . . . Only the "best of the best" can handle the expectations and the grind . . . It's all about preparing young men for Division 1 College Baseball and creating cherished memories that will leave footprints on their hearts for the rest of their lives.

It's way more than just about baseball.

Many have referred to their years on the Expos as the best times they ever experienced playing sports.

The Expos are proud to say that over 90% of their graduates go on to college with almost 10% eventually playing for a Division 1 college team or a professional baseball team.

The Expos have between 60-70 games scheduled for this coming season with the possibility of competing in as many as ten tournaments.

The two biggest tournaments will be the Yocha Dehe World Series July 29 - August 2 and the Western Regionals August 5-9 where the state champions from Hawaii, Texas, New Mexico, Utah, California, Arizona and Nevada all come to Fairfield to join the host team (Expos) to play for the right to go to the American Legion World Series, in Shelby, North Carolina, which is played in front of over 100k screaming fans as well as being broadcast live on ESPN. Both those tournaments will be played in Fairfield at Laurel Creek Park - 1050 Cement Hill Road.

The tough Reno Nevada Knights will travel to Fairfield for 4 games May 29-31.

The battle tested Medford Oregon Mustangs will arrive in town for a June 12 game at 6:00pm.

The Expos will travel to Roseburg, Oregon on June 15-22 for a big tournament at their beautiful stadium.
The team hopes to take their annual white water 75-mile Jetboat ride on the wild Rogue River, visit the Wildlife Safari, fish in the Cooper Creek Reservoir and tour the Wi******er fish ladder.

The Expos will travel to Reno, Nevada and stay at the luxury Grand Sierra Resort while playing in the "Elite" Josh Anderson Tournament on the Campus of the University of Nevada-Reno.
The team plans to tour historic Virginia City including a walk through the cemetery called Boot Hill.

The Expos always travel together (as a team) in the Expos fleet of vans, they stay together at the hotels and they eat meals together . . . The Expos pay for the transportation, food, lodging and team recreation.

What an adventure . . . enjoyed by all including the parents who tag along.

We must remember how special it is to be selected for the Expos team . . . Only players who check all the boxes are picked.

Truly a team consisting of "The Best of The Best!"

Lets now meet the team (Players listed oldest to youngest)

The 2026 Expos Schedule has been released . . .
The iconic Expos are gearing up for an exciting 2026 season. Their schedule is as tough as they come.
The team is predominantly made up of college freshman and high school graduating seniors.
They play a league schedule, lots of tournaments and numerous college summer teams.
The Legion teams are the toughest and Northern California has some of the best . . . Including: Chico Nuts, Santa Rosa Rebels, Petaluma Leghorns, Napa Valley Baseball Club, Yolo Post 77, Yuba-Sutter Stripers, Sonoma County Vipers, and Tehama Bulls, just to mention a few.
This Expos 2026 team is determined to do better than the record setting 2025 team that finished with a historic 68-12 record which included 3 consecutive tournament championships and an unbelievable 16-0 record while touring Montana.
Come watch some great baseball:

This is Legion Field in Roseburg, Oregon . . .
The 19u Expos will travel there next summer for the annual Father's Day Tournament played exclusively at this stadium.
Attached to the stadium are indoor batting cages and pitching mounds . . . Everything that's needed for a GREAT experience playing baseball at a high level.

The June 2026 trip will include the Expos taking the 75 mile white water Jetboat ride on the Wild Rogue River and an extensive tour of the Wildlife Safari where the rhinos, zebra, giraffes, camels and many other animals roam free and right next to the team vans.

The Expos played in the 1993 American Legion World Series which was hosted by Roseburg and the Expos were the home team by virtue of winning the Northwest Region 7 Championship. which was played in Billings, Montana.
The Expos scored 6 runs in bottom of the 9th to beat Miami Florida in the opening game. Alex Rodriguez played for that Miami team.

The 2026 trip will also include a game in Medford Oregon home of the 2026 Northwest Region 7 Tournament at spectacular Harry & David Field, which is one of the best stadiums in the Western United States. They will also play in Eugene, Oregon at Swede Johnson Stadium another superb venue built by Danny Ainge.

After the Expos return home from this adventure they head to Reno, Nevada where they will play in the prestigious Josh Anderson Tournament with all games being played at the newly renovated stadium on the campus of the University of Nevada-Reno.

The team stays at the luxury Grand Sierra Resort and there will be team excursions to cool places like historic Virginia City.

It will be tough to top the trip to Montana in 2025, where the Expos won both the Missoula Tournament and the Helena Tournament finishing with a perfect 16-0 record while there, but all efforts are focused on the 2026 team travels and it's looking pretty darn good . . . should be another great experience!

The Expos have always been about a lot more than just baseball and for those who have experienced being part of the team they have fantastic memories to cherish for the rest of their lives.

BREAKING NEWS . . .
The promise was to introduce the entire 2026 Expos team by the end of the year. The 9 returning players have already been individually introduced over the past three months . . . now we present the 9 "new" players that will proudly don the iconic "black & blue" Expos uniform.
Just like our United States Military . . .
"The uniform is a symbol of honor and tradition, of esprit de corps and morale, and of personal excellence and pride."

These 9 players will complete the Expos 18-man roster for 2026.
NOTE: The team could add a 19th player but it is unlikely. If they do it would probably be a pitcher to help with their intense game schedule and high level competition.

Last summer the Expos played the season with 25 players on their roster. It was obviously successful since they finished the season with a record breaking 68-12 record, which included going 16-0 in Montana and winning three high level tournaments in a row.
Cutting back to only 18 rostered players is risky, but the coaches feel fewer is better with this particular group . . . the goal is to ensure the younger guys get ample playing time, thus enabling them to be solid contributors in 2026 and elite mainstays in 2027.

Last year the team had four players who went up to bat well over 200 times, that is remarkable. The record is 255 plate appearances, with 300 within the realm of possibility.

So without further ado . . .

Let's welcome the 9 newest members of the 2026 Expos Baseball team!

Dylan Frank #19
Dylan Eddings #12
Dylan Pineda #27
Sage Nelson #8
Ryan Watson #2
Jason Hall #4
Robert Ayers Jr. #23
Javon Haynes #7
Griffin Doty #16

The Expos coaching staff is excited about the potential in these 9 young men.
The teams in California are being put on notice . . . When these 9 studs blend in with the 9 returners from the 2025 team the result could be really special!

Manager Brad Hanson says this group is the best group of new players added to any of his previous teams over the past 50 years of manning the helm.

The team needs were simple and this group fills those needs very nicely.
The team needed to overhaul their catching and add quality depth . . . returner Gibby Gibson did a great job in 2025, but he was needed to catch too much and his skills at other positions needed to be developed . . . Now those skills can bloom, while still being a key catcher.
The outfield lost two great players in Noah Rodda and Seth Tjaden, both aged out and will be 20 years old in 2026. This new group of players replenished the outfield with outstanding young talent. Defensively the 2026 outfield might be the best in several years.
The need for pitching is always there and the coaches feel they garnered a windfall of good young pitchers. They picked up 4 guys who will have huge roles on the mound in 2026.

QUICK OVERVIEW:

DYLAN FRANK - He was the Expos primary target from day 1.
The Expos lost their entire starting outfield and graduating guys like Noah Rodda and Seth Tjaden were going to be very hard to replace . . . Dylan was the cornerstone they needed and then they built from there. He is expected to be a strong contributor in 2026 with a powerful bat and extraordinary athleticism, speed and strength. The perfect attitude for the Expos culture.
He's the prototype of leading by example and speak softly but carry a big stick . . . The burning desire to excel radiates from him.

DYLAN EDDINGS - He is a big flame thrower, at 6'4" and 200+ lbs., who will compliment returning ace Nolan Collins, both touch 90mph with their fastballs. Dylan will not only be in the starting rotation he will also serve as a depth piece at both third base and first base along with some DH duty. He's another role model player who will fit in with the team like a glove.
Dylan could be "The Guy" when there's a big game against a team like Texas!

DYLAN PINEDA - He is another big guy on the mound standing at 6'2' and weighing 235 lbs. His fastball isn't elite but his ability to get batters out is real. He was the only pitcher on the younger TC farm team who really silenced the Expos bats when the older Expos scrimmaged their younger brothers.
One of his most impressive games for the 17u TC team last season was a 1-0 win over the powerful Napa team . . . That got noticed by the Expos staff.
He has a lot of potential and hopefully it will surface in big ways during the 2026 season.
He was the most important young pitcher on the Expos radar . . . Now let's see if the coaches were correct in their assessment of him and his potential to develop into an ace.
The current plan is to put him into the rotation and let him work hard at reaching the potential he possesses.

SAGE NELSON - This might prove to be the best addition of all. Sage is a veteran player who is an excellent catcher, but more importantly can play other positions with great skill, confidence and competence. His versatility will be a tremendous asset while playing the toughest of schedules with the minimum of players rostered. The hope is he can anchor one of the top four spots in the batting order. He's not super fast, but his baseball acumen allows him to steal bases and he is a great baserunner.
Once again a player who fits perfectly into the Expos team culture . . . He will impact the 2026 team in numerous ways.

RYAN WATSON - He will be utilized primarily as a pitcher in key situations. He's a strike thrower who keeps batters off balance. He's had some impressive outings in high school and there's no reason to believe anything will change in the summer. He will most likely be a middle reliever and a spot starter. That is a difficult role, but he is mentally tough and should flourish.
Ryan can also help the team in the infield and as a hitter. The hope is his quick bat will result in key hits in critical situations.
He's yet another player who brings his best everyday and the results speak volumes.

JASON HALL - This is a young man who impressed the coaches as soon as they saw him swing his left-handed bat against live pitching. To put it bluntly, he has the potential to be a dynamic game changer with his ability to hit the ball hard.
He will be worked with as a LHP and as an outfielder, but if he swings the bat as well as anticipated he will force his way into the lineup somewhere.
His potential as a pitcher is "yet to be determined" but if he can do it that will lead to an expanded role.

ROBERT AYERS JR. - This young man can pitch. He's not a flame thrower, but he's crafty and throws strikes. He is the type of pitcher the coaches love . . . He's not fancy, he just gets the job done on a continual basis.
The anticipation is that he will be in the starting rotation with occasional closing opportunities.
Do not be surprised if he excels for the Expos in 2026 . . . He might even challenge to be the #1 or #2 guy . . . ?
The coaches like him a lot.

JAVON HAYNES - It took 10 minutes for manager Brad Hanson to see this young man's potential in the outfield is special. He has what can't be taught . . . Great instincts and anticipation!
Couple that with elite quickness, great speed and excellent ball tracking ability and you have the makings of a premier outfielder. He understands the need to continue to work on his hitting, but if you can steal a couple of doubles from the opposition with your glove you have accomplished as much as hitting two doubles.
The hitting will come as he gets older because he's willing to put in the time . . . His work right now, in the batting cage, is already paying dividends.
Javon is going to be a special player and the coaches are excited to help him become the best he can be.

GRIFFIN DOTY - He will be the youngest player in Expos history to be on their 18-man roster. Griffin is only a high school freshman, but he made the 19u Expos who are predominantly made up of graduating seniors and college freshmen.
Manager Brad Hanson loves his potential, saying he's the best defensively he's seen at his age since Carter Bins . . . Carter graduated from the Expos in 2016 and went on to be the starting catcher at Fresno State University and play for several years on the Pittsburgh Pirates AAA team.
Griffin will catch and learn to play third base. He may also get a chance to pitch a few innings.
The Expos coaches feel the experience will in itself help him a lot, but they will make it a point to get him on the field as he develops. Catching pitchers who can top 90mph is the experience young guys need, along with facing those same type pitchers in real games that matter.
This young man is going to be a good one . . . The type you don't come across often. He's very mature for his age.

SUMMARY:
The Expos coaching staff is ecsstatic with the new guys . . . there isn't anybody out there they would rather have . . . truly the "Best of the Best!"

"LET'S GO EXPOS!"

CONGRATULATIONS . . . One of the best has decided to retire!

Jack Canavesio (Mr. C) has decided to ride off into the sunset with his lovely wife Phyllis.
Expos manager Brad Hanson has often stated that Jack is the best pitching coach in Solano County and likely as good as any in Northern California.
Jack started coaching within the Fairfield Expos Baseball program in 1988, managing the younger 15-16 year old team. Then in 1990 he joined the older 19u Expos team.

He was an integral part of the Expos 1993 World Series team, when the Expos came from behind against the Miami squad with 6 runs in the bottom of the 9th to pull out the 12-11 win, only to lose a heartbreaker the following day to Las Vegas 1-0.

Last season the Expos set a team record for wins with an overall record of 68-12 . . . Mr. C was a huge part of that success.

Jack did more than just coach for the Expos . . . He coached varsity football for years at Fairfield high school. He also was the varsity baseball coach for both Fairfield and Vanden high schools.

Jack was honored at the recent November 18th Hall-of-Fame induction dinner with appreciation for all he did and was also inducted into the Expos Hall-of-Fame where he joins his son Ray who played for the Expos (1990-1992), and is currently the Expos head coach.

The Fairfield Expos Baseball Association (FEBA), the Expos 19u baseball team, the current and former Expos players, the Expos parents and the Expos coaching staff wish Jack and Phyllis a long, healthy and happy retirement together.

Words cannot express the gratitude felt.

THANK YOU COACH JACK . . . A friend forever.

BREAKING NEWS . . .
Through the end of the year we will continue to introduce each player on the 2026 Expos baseball team.

Today we introduce . . . Jordan Dix

Jordan is a returning player . . .

Jordan was recently presented the "TEAM FIRST AWARD," at the Expos Hall-of-Fame Induction dinner hosted by American Legion Post 165.

The Expos don't give out team MVP awards anymore, their focus is on the players who perform outstandingly whether it's on the field, off the field, in private, or in public.

What players do when nobody is watching is the measuring stick.

Character, and team chemistry, is what the Expos are all about and the players they target for their elite roster must either already have the character desired or possess the traits that the coaches feel can be cultivated and expose the character lying below the surface.
You put together a team of high character guys and the chemistry will take care of itself.

The "TEAM FIRST AWARD" is presented to the player who goes the extra mile. The player who remains to help when others leave. The player who doesn't always have to be asked to do chores, but rather steps up and asks what needs to be done.

Jordan Dix has continually helped with everything nobody enjoys doing . . . painting the stadium, keeping score during tournaments, handling the PA duties and meticulously grooming the pitcher's mound before and after games. He lives at the stadium.
What makes all the aforementioned remarkable is he does that knowing he will not get the opportunity to play as much as others. That alone speaks volumes.

This upcoming season he figures to get an opportunity to swing the bat as a DH on occasion, while also getting some field time at first base.
He will primarily compete for a spot in the pitching rotation. Him being a lefty with experience on the team should benefit his cause.

Welcome Back . . . JORDAN DIX #31 . . . !

BREAKING NEWS . . .
Through the end of the year we will continue to introduce each player on the 2026 Expos baseball team.
Today we introduce . . . James "Gibby" Gibson

Gibby is a returning player . . .

He promises to be a key cog in the Expos wheel of success in 2026. The team is on a mission to outperform the tremendous success of the 2025 team which finished 68-12 and won four major tournaments.

Gibby is on an upward trajectory that will likely see him lead the way with some great hitting and outstanding defense.

His positive attitude, great hustle, and unparalleled work ethic makes him the consummate Expos player.

He possesses extraordinary physical tools and can play virtually every position on the diamond with a high level of competence. He is also very smart, both on the baseball field and in the classroom as he consistently carries a 4.0+ GPA.

Last season he was forced to catch more games than anticipated solely because of team need, but this year the Expos are determined to add additional catchers to the roster whereas Gibby will be able to develop as both an outfielder and infielder.

An elite team such as the Expos requires a minimum of three "Expo-Tough" catchers, and preferably catchers who can play other positions.

The team plays between 60-80 games every season and they do it in roughly 80 days, that requires multiple catchers since minor injuries, hot weather, doubleheaders and fatigue tax the position to the hilt.

Gibby came on strong last season with his bat, so the plan will be to keep his bat in the lineup as much as possible, hence playing multiple positions allows for that to materialize quite easily.

Welcome Back . . . GIBBY GIBSON #9 . . . !
