Great win for St Michael!

The final score from Daphne as St. Michael Catholic uses a punishing ground attack and some stifling defense to win its third straight game over Bayside Academy.

Cardinals running back Nygel Mitchell powered his team to the victory by finding the end zone four times, while the visitors' defensive front continually won the batlle at the line of scrimmage.

Continuing his stellar 2026 campaign, Mitchell racked up roughly 240 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns in this one.

Defining Moment:
While almost any of Mitchell's scores could fit the bill here, St. Michael QB Marshall Pitre led a scoring drive coming out of halftime that proved the Cardinals could move the ball through the air as well.

Congratulations Braedyn!

The Greene & Phillips player of the week is St. Michael Catholic High School junior wide receiver Braedyn Walton.

Braedyn helped lead the Cardinals to a thrilling 39–35 victory over St. Paul’s in their Division 2A Region opener. The Cardinals had a fourth-quarter comeback led by Braedyn, who caught three touchdown passes in the final 11 minutes, including the game-winner with just 19 seconds remaining.

Braedyn finished the game with 12 receptions for 174 yards and three touchdowns. So far this season, he has 27 catches for 386 yards and five touchdowns. Congratulations, Braedyn!
