🔍 Cover Constructions – Why the sheath matters

The sheath isn’t just protection—it defines how a rope performs. 👇

• Regular (2 over 2) – balanced durability and handling, great abrasion resistance
• TPT Twill Pattern Technology (1 over 1) – tighter and smoother, less rope drag
• Bi-Pattern – visual change to quickly find the midpoint

🧗‍♂️ The sheath protects the core and directly impacts grip, durability, and handling. 👉 Small construction details make a big difference on the wall.

Throwback Thursday ... This is climbing "Maquina Increible" 14b/c at the Cathedral in South West Utah in 2018. One of the few "Euro" style caves in the USA.

🔍 Rope Constructions Explained

Not all ropes are built the same—and understanding the construction makes a big difference in performance and safety. 👇

• 3-strand – simple, traditional, and easy to handle
• Single braid – lightweight and flexible
• Double braid – strong and durable with a core + cover setup
• Kernmantle – the standard for climbing ropes
• Str8 Jacket – a variation of kernmantle to reduce sheath slippage

🧗‍♂️ Why climbing ropes use kernmantle construction:
All modern climbing ropes are built with multiple straight cores (kern) and a protective sheath (mantle). The core provides the majority of the strength and energy absorption, while the sheath protects against abrasion and external damage.

👉 Next time you tie in, remember: it’s not just a rope—it’s engineered protection.

Throwback Thursday ... 's first attempt of “Take it or leave it” in Gorge du Verdon did end with a robbed car and a lot of struggles. Years later, in 2019, Mich came back and redpointed the route under an hour with his solo belay device. What a come back! 💪

🌟 Less prep, more climbing. 🧗‍♂️

Ready-to-Climb vs. Regular Coil .... Our Ready-to-Climb ropes are packaged to be used immediately—no need for initial uncoiling. It’s simple: open, lay it down, and go! With regular coils, proper uncoiling in the opposite direction before first use is recommended to reduce twist and avoid kinking during handling.

Different setup, same goal: smooth rope management and reliable performance from the start. 👉 More time for what really matters: your next move.

Every climbing rope batch produced in our factory is tested according to EN 892 - the standard for dynamic mountaineering ropes. 🧗‍♂️

From knotability for easy handling, to precise diameter consistency, optimized weight, static and dynamic elongation and impact force — every detail matters when performance and safety are on the line. 💪

is currently trying a sport climbing project which he bolted 8 years ago. Something very specific on tiny racer sharp check card holds. A sustained boulder leading into a tricky topout. The perfect limestone king line just in front of his summer destination in Austria. 😎
