Registration is now open for Sail Rec!'s 2026 Summer Youth Program! Please note that due to winter storms, our Summer Youth Program will start one week later than previous years. We are also scheduling home-school and adult sailing classes – please call our boathouse at 508-300-3973 to custom-schedule these classes or for questions about any of our programs!

Sail Rec! is back in the high school sailing business! After a long hiatus, we are back on the circuit with Rhode Island’s Wheeler School. Wheeler practices three days a week at our facility and will travel throughout the season for meets and scrimmages. Their first team race is tomorrow at Sail Newport, and we wish them great success!

The following is our 2024 Sail Rec! Summer Program schedule:

Session I: June 24 – July 5 (no sailing on July 4)
Session II: July 8 – July 19
Session III: July 22 – August 2
Session IV: August 5 – August 16
Session V: August 19 – August 23

Your child will learn water safety, basic sailing theory, knot tying, rigging a boat, simple navigation, leaving and returning from a dock or mooring, and racing. Students are placed in beginner, intermediate, or advanced classes based on experience. Best of all, they will have lots of fun and make new friends!

MANY THANKS to TEUFELBERGER Fiber Rope Corporation, known locally as "New England Ropes" for their generous donation of Premium Dock Line to our program! The new line will replace the battle-scarred line we presently use to secure our powerboats to our dock facilities.

Hello again sailors! Here is our fee structure for the 2023 season:

Session I (Adjusted for 4th of July holiday)
Resident: $125
Non-resident: $135

Sessions II-IV:
Resident: $140
Non-resident: $150

Session V:
Resident: $70
Non-resident: $80

A 10% discount applies to a 2nd or more sibling for sessions I-IV.

Please note that Session V is typically for students with prior experience.

Scholarship opportunities are available for those who may be experiencing financial hardship.
