My MA2 win on Sunday was memorable for more than the delicious victory meal at The Halal Guys I enjoyed afterward. 🥙 This tourney was held where I first played disc golf.

Long before it was the beautiful Hazel Grove course it is today, my Dad took my cousin and me to the "Wilderness Presidential" course in the summer of 2014 or so.

The discs were heavy, the grass was tall, and bugs were everywhere. We lasted maybe three holes before I decided it wasn't for me—and from that day onward, I HATED disc golf.

I TOTALLY HATED IT—that is, until Papi and I picked up discs again five summers later.

Today, I love the game more than ever, and my MPO dreams keep getting clearer. As I prepare to compete against the best Juniors at Professional Disc Golf Association Junior Worlds this summer, earning this first-place trophy was a confidence builder. 💪
