Reliable power doesn't happen by accident.

Several times a year, CCEC employees invite local business leaders for a tour of the mines and the Milton R. Young power plants that supply electricity to Cass County Electric Cooperative members. Seeing the scale of the operation and the people behind it is a good reminder that what looks simple at the switch is anything but simple behind the scenes.

These tours are about more than a good photo op. They build stronger relationships between our cooperative and the businesses we serve, and give our team valuable insight into the generation side of the grid.

In this role, you'll help members use electricity safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively while supporting our load management and energy efficiency programs. You'll also work directly with members and contractors to provide guidance on heating and cooling systems, energy use, and electric rate options.

Original 6:17 AM: 1,723 Members in the Golden Valley community and near Davies High School are experiencing an outage. Line crews have been contacted and will work to determine the cause and restore power as safely and quickly as possible.
