Massive Announcement Time!

It’s official. Valor Martial Arts is the first Vanguard Academy of Jiu-Jitsu affiliate!

Vanguard is led by Jason Rau and Nick Ronan, two exceptional competitors and instructors who are committed to continually learning, improving, and evolving not only their jiu jitsu, but also the sport of jiu jitsu. This partnership also connects Valor to the renowned Renzo Gracie and Matt Serra lineage.

We had the opportunity to bring Jason to Valor for a seminar and were blown away by his technical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to teach.

We’re incredibly excited to partner with Vanguard and continue bringing top level jiu jitsu instruction to the Fargo Moorhead area!

Justin and Malachi have shared the mats together, pushed each other, held each other accountable, and put the work in side by side over the last couple of years and it's definitely shown. Welcome to the blue belt club, we're excited to watch your journey to Purple!

Had a great class last night, followed by some deserved promotions.

Lorena walked into the gym and showed off her skills, consistency, and ability to soak up information immediately. If you've had the privilege of rolling with her, you know you're never safe from her chained attacks, and constant harrassment. As she heads on her next journey, we wanted to ship her off with a new colored belt. Congratulations on the purple belt, you earned it!

Karl’s been putting in work in both gi and no-gi. His confidence, technique, and ability to put things together on the mat have taken a huge step forward. He’s been improving each and every day to the point where that white belt just didn’t quite look right anymore. Welcome to the blue belt club!

We had an amazing friend group come together this Sunday to learn the art of jiu jitsu.

There was plenty of learning, a bunch of laughs, and lots of smiles. Not a bad way to spend some time with friends!

Moments like these never cease to be one of the highlights of our week. We love getting to share Jiu Jitsu with new people and seeing them enjoy their time on the mats!

We had a blast celebrating our one year anniversary. Thank you to everyone that has helped us get here.

It's been a wild year. When we started, we set some lofty goals and crushed almost all of them. We brought in one of the best coaches in jiu jitsu, had our first mma fighter tally up a 2-0 record, set the stage for a few more people to do mma, introduced people to our brand of jiu jitsu, helped friends prepare for their tournaments, and helped our community with self defense classes.

It's been amazing! But stay tuned, we aren't done yet. Year two is already off to a fast start and we will have some super exciting news coming in the new few weeks!

Remind that tomorrow (Tuesday the 11th) we will be having our one year anniversary celebration!

All evening classes are canceled as we will be having an open mat from 5-8pm. The party is open to everyone so bring your friends and family!

Congratz to Josh, Jayden, and Justin for earning their second stripe on their white belts. Its fun watching this group continue get more dangerous with every passing week.

The women's kickboxing class have been slayyyying. You can't make up how fun this class is. Their teep and teep defense is about the be the best in the business.
