Afraid of failing at Jiu-Jitsu? Good. That fear means you’re about to try something that can make you stronger.
The people who dare to begin walk through the door, step onto the mats, get uncomfortable, get tapped, make mistakes, and keep going. Most people never take that first step because they’re afraid of being bad at something new.
Failing is part of life, and you can’t avoid every difficult or uncomfortable situation. The better choice is to learn how to face challenges, build confidence, and defend yourself when they come.
In BJJ, failure isn’t something to avoid—it’s part of the training and the process of building real skills.
You can’t learn to escape if you’re never willing to get caught.
