The Farmington community is coming together to honor the life and legacy of Carmelo Quiton Tibus, a North Farmington High School student and beloved member of the Farmington United lacrosse team, who tragically passed away at the end of the 2024-25 school year. Our second annual memorial lacrosse game “UnitedForMelo” will be held on Saturday, August 8 at 10:30am at the North Farmington High School stadium. Gates will open at 10:00am.

The event will feature a Farmington United boys vs. girls lacrosse match and a tribute to Carmelo. Admission is a suggested donation of $5 or “pay what you can,” with all proceeds going to support and strengthen the Farmington United Lacrosse program in Carmelo’s name. We look forward to seeing you there!

🏆🏆 OAKLAND COUNTY CHAMPIONS x 2! 🏆🏆

History was made as Warner Middle School captured BOTH the Girls and Boys Oakland County Track Championships—the first time in 20 years that one school has swept both titles!

🔥 Girls Highlights:
• Bria James broke the Oakland County record in the 55m hurdles, won the 200m hurdles, and finished 2nd in the 400m.
• Bailey James won the 400m and finished 2nd in both the 100m and 200m.
• Olivia Whitlow placed 2nd in the 200m hurdles and 5th in the 200m dash.
• Avery Carter earned 3rd place in the 55m hurdles.
• The Vikings also posted Top-10 finishes in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays.

🔥 Boys Highlights:
• Gabe Dunn won the shot put.
• Izzy Sanders delivered a performance for the ages, winning the 70m, 100m, and 200m dashes while setting meet and school records.
• The 4x200 relay team of Max Cooke, Ronan D’Anna, Charles Gordon, and Jason Huff won in school-record fashion.
• Max Cooke finished 3rd in the 400m and helped lead the 4x400 relay team to a 2nd-place finish alongside MaKyle Lyttle, JJ Miles, and Ronan D’Anna.
• Kane Torres placed 5th in the high jump.
