Ladies Range Day Information!!!
We sent out an email this morning but we want to make sure everyone sees these important details for this Saturday!
Good morning ladies! I wanted to reach out to everyone and make sure you know what to expect and what to bring for this event. We can’t wait to have you out for this fun day!
-Permit to Carry Participants-
If you are taking the permit to carry course before ladies range day, you will need to be at Celts in Farmington in the back event space before 9 am. Class will begin right at 9am so please come early and be ready. You will need to bring a cased and UNLOADED fi***rm and am******on. Please leave your fi***rm in your locked vehicle. Class will go to around noon and you will have a couple short breaks. If you are coming out to ladies range day after, you will have a short time to eat lunch and then come out to ladies range day. Directions will be below. You certainly can order food but make sure it won’t make you late to range day. We need everyone there BY 12:40 to begin the next rotation. Please Do NOT be late. Please keep reading below if you are doing ladies range day for more details. If you are NOT doing ladies range day, Tony will bring you to do your live fire immediately after the class to do your final qualification after which you will be done.
-Location and Parking -
Ladies range day is located at 25600 Biscayne Ave Farmington MN. If you are only doing ladies range day we need you to arrive between 11:15 and 11:30 am so we can get everyone to the range and begin by noon. Please do not be late as this really messes with our timing to make this day smooth and successful. When you arrive you will be parking on the gravel road along the side of Biscayne Ave. There will be signs marked Ladies Range Day to help you find your way. Please Do NOT park on the paved road. Once you park you will see a designated meeting area to go to. Proceed there to check in. If you haven’t already contributed the $20 donation for range day and still want to here is the link https://venmo.com/u/Anna-Pariseau-RRGC or you can bring cash. Any donations are greatly appreciated to help contribute to an amazing event. It helps us cover targets, target stands, and other operating expenses. Thank you!
-What to Bring-
Please bring your own pistol and am******on if you are able to. Your fi***rm must be UNLOADED and in a case at all times until you are directed otherwise. We are asking that you bring 100 rounds of FMJ. Look for target/range ammo or full metal jacket. Hollow points are acceptable but much more expensive.
If you do not have your own pistol or am******on, we will provide a pistol and have am******on for sale. Ammo availability is limited so we prefer you bring your own if you are able. Please bring cash payment if you are needing to get ammo on site. Or you can pay through Venmo on site as well.
$40/100 or $4 per 10 rounds 9mm.
$60 per 100 rounds of .380 or $6 per 10 rounds.
$20 per 100 .22 LR or $2 per 10 rounds. Subsonic or supersonic.
If you have eye and ear protection, please bring those as well otherwise we will provide them for you. We are also asking that you bring a lunch or something to eat so you can stay sharp and ready. I will have some light snacks and refreshments available that day as well but please come prepared. It is a long and busy day and I don’t want anyone to be starving. Also please dress comfortable and in layers. It looks like it will be a beautiful day but weather can be unpredictable. So make sure to wear layers and wear sunscreen. And you must wear closed toe shoes! No sandals on the range!
-Ladies Range Day- What to Expect-
We will be assigning groups when you arrive that you will rotate with. If there is someone you are wanting to stay with we will do our best to accommodate you. When you arrive you will check in, get a name tag, and hop on a wagon to ride down to the range. At this point we will go over introductions, safety rules, and rotations. There are 4 separate stations with the main one being pistol handling/live fire. This station is one hour solid. If you are nervous, please don’t be. You are in great hands. We have Kevin from Gunnery Concepts as your Range Master/ Trainer and he is amazing. Plus we have several highly trained women working one on one with you. He has a plan to start from ground zero and build your skill. So if you have never shot before, you are in the right place. If you have more experience, we will work with perfecting and growing your skills the best we can. We also have 3 other stations that include 1st Aid, Knowledge base self defense, and Jiu Jitsu. These stations will be 45 minutes roughly allowing you breaks in between most rotations. We also have Main Street Apparel Co coming out to make shirts for sale. Along with a few other items to purchase if you’re interested. I mean, what’s better than shooting and shopping!? After the day wraps up we will be shuttling everyone back to their vehicles. One last and important detail. This is a VOLUNTEER event and we are all working very hard to make this the best day possible for you. But please be patient with us. We are trying some new things this year to make it bigger and better every year. And the most important thing other than always keeping your finger off the trigger until you’re ready to fire and always pointing your pistol in a safe direction, is to HAVE FUN!!! Engage, ask questions, participate, and learn! We can’t wait to see you!!!
