🚨📢 Another pre-season match in the books and it was exactly the match up we wanted against an opponent who tested our ability to build up play, attack and defend. Despite letting a few soft ones in, the boys held their own playing some good soccer for the first 30mins of the first half and closing out the last 20mins of the game with their foot on the gas.

The signs are there and we are playing well in spells but a few bad habits still remain preventing the desired consistency. A few more pre-season games to go to get the right balance and we will be ready. The journey continues.

📢🚨 Another pre-season game is in the books after our match against Greensboro FC - a formidable opponent who looked capable of holding their own in the league this fall. It was a game of ebbs and flows for the squad, who played some of their best football mid to late first half, but then regressed to squandering multiple scoring opportunities including missed tap-ins, missed 1v1s with the keeper and even a missed pk. Overall, it is clear we still have work to do. Our preparations continue next weekend when we travel to Sanford for our 3rd pre-season match against SASL Brick City FC.

🚨📢 In our 2nd Pre-season match we welcome Greensboro F.C. to the fortress as we continue our preparation for the Fall Season. The focus for the squad this time out is to establish better control of the game through sustained possession in the opponent's half to create more effective goal scoring opportunities.

🚨📢 Our Pre-season opener ends in a favorable result for the squad who logged some valuable minutes and knocked off the rust from the off-season. The boys looked comfortable and in control from the beginning scoring 3 without reply in the first 60mins of the game. In keeping with true pre-season norms, 11 mass changes provided opportunities for our new players to showcase their talents and lock in a first team roster spot.

Next up we host UPSL Mid-Atlantic D1 newcomers, Greensboro FC on 8 August at the fortress.

🚨📢 Cjay Cjay set the UPSL D1 Mid-Atlantic North ablaze in his sophomore season earning himself our coveted Spring 2026 Most Valuable Player award, the Golden boot award and our Attacking Player of the Season award.

Hard to defend, pacey with a few tricks in his toolbox, Roudly posed a constant threat down the left flank with some electrifying individual skill and link-up play, and finished the season as our top goal scorer, and tied for most assists. However, what was most impressive was his individual growth in understanding the game. This drove his willingness to get back and defend along with his ability to move without the ball, helping him deliver well rounded play all season long 👏👏🦾⚽️.

🚨📢 Ladies and Gentlemen our Spring 2026 Midfielder of the Season is alefutbol05. A player with an unmatched work rate who leaves it all on the field. Not just our midfield muscle, he's cemented his effectiveness on both sides of the ball by being in amongst the goals and assists and earning a UPSL D1 Team of the Week selection for his efforts 👏👏🦾👟⚽️.
