The week wrapped up with a 2-1 record when the girls defeated Ohio Premiere yesterday 2-1. Ohio Premiere won their conference with a season record of 13–1-2 so the competition in the pool continued to be fierce. Temps were down to a meager 98 at game time. Unfortunately, the 2-1 loss to NWI kept us from getting out of the pool. NWI was ousted in the championship game in the pool opposite from us last year by Nebraska. NWI will face off in the championship game against FC’s longtime conference rival and reigning national champion Missouri Rush (St. Louis) on Sunday.

Running the livestream is a tough job! It’s important to take care of yourself and adequately prepare if you volunteer for the task! After yesterday, Geoff was sure to push the hydration and get in the recovery boots to be ready for today! Shout out to G for all his hard work in making sure those at home get to watch the girls rock and roll!

The girls slammed the first win of the week against a team from Michigan 5-0! Tomorrow’s match will be tough as we have a rematch against a team we beat in bracket play last year in PKs after coming back to tie in regulation with 10 seconds left in the game. And they are good again for his year!
For now - living on the glory of today’s win!
