Here is my recap of 5 days of racing my Pro Mod Mustang on 275 Drag radials at Big Jake’s race at XRP , private testing on Wednesday night didn’t give any good results , struggled with spinning tires all night , convertor / trans was wearing us out . We made adjustments for testing Thursday night and 100 cars showed up to test so we only got 2 hits , no luck on 1 but was able to get it to make a full pull on the 2nd hit after sitting in staging lanes 5 hours after first hit . Friday was race day for the 100k shootout , test hit was a failure and first round i got anxious and turned on a red light , and give a win away the other car had issues as well but i was able to pedal it thru the run even though i red lite . This put us in the 2nd Chance race for $25k which was postponed until Saturday night . Found some issues and resolved them we thought and first pass E1 Saturday was our bye run . Spun the tires about 100 ft out . E2 had Carlos from Cali and finally made a full pull and it felt good , he red lite as well but we made good solid run . E3 we drew Outlaw Jose Wales a hard hitting Vette . We made a very solid run and out run him to the stripe . Had a near catastrophic failure when the front drivers side strut broke loose from the mount 200 ft past finish line and almost caused me to hit the wall head on , but we got the win and damaged the zoomies and strut That put us in the Semi finals and about 6:00 AM this morning the track announced they were calling off the race , so 4 drivers split the $25k purse . So we are happy to have learned a bunch and the Mustang is coming around finally , thanks to Jeremy Parsley , Bryan Vance , Drew Rutherford , Glen Dyess and David Wiley for all the help and support Javier showed up to help as well . Got to bring home some hard earned money !

Test night at XRP ! $100k for grabs Friday night

I have a couple of 280 powerheads for sale . I will make a package deal on both if you want both or will sale separately. One is 2004 Model all nice Nic cylinders , top pin pistons compression is even on all 6 cylinders. Other is 2000 model has one steel sleeve and block been welded see picture. This engine has side pin pistons in it , Compression is exactly the same on all 6 cylinders and both powerheads run perfect . I have fuel pumps fuel lines and catch tanks that will go with them . PM me and we can discuss and i will tell you what i know about them . I am open to offers .
