Thank you again to all the Bike the Bluebonnets riders in April that allowed the Greater Dallas Bicyclists to donate nearly $14,000 to the surrounding communities that our rally traveled through during the event. Because of your participation and with all of the volunteers from the club who made it possible we ALL gave back to others.
The school will be purchasing the Back to School books/items to those that need help getting started for the year. The police purchase items for their Toy For Tots programs. The Red Oak Explorers are those high school aged kids that want to learn and are interested in a law enforcement career. They are also out controlling traffic near Rest Stop #5. The youth group at J Bar C Cowboy Church are able to attend church camp this summer in OK who were very helpful at Rest Stop #2.
It truly is heartwarming and touching to give to others in such a small way.
