Golf Check-In: Fast & Fully Automated… or Keep the Human Touch?

As we continue improving the River Downs experience, we’re looking at how golfers check in for their round.

Imagine arriving, checking in on your phone or at a kiosk, getting your cart assignment, and heading straight to the first tee — no waiting at the counter.

But golf has always had a social side too. Sometimes it’s nice to be greeted by someone, ask a question, grab a scorecard, or just say hello before the round.

What would YOU prefer?

🟢 A — Fully Automated
Check in digitally and head straight to your cart/tee.

🔵 B — Human Touch
I like checking in with a staff member.

⛳ UPDATE: THE VOTES ARE IN!

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on our yardage-marker poll.

We’re going with Option B — the classic pole markers ✅
And the poles are going up as we speak!

We’ll also be keeping our existing beautiful granite yardage markers, so golfers will have both the traditional markers and the new poles out on the course.

And there’s more coming…

📍 In 2027, River Downs will also have GPS course mapping to provide even more accurate yardages throughout the course.
