25 years ago today, 2,977 lives were lost to terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Many of you weren't yet born or were too young to remember, but please take a moment to honor those who died on September 11, 2001, and those who continue to carry the loss of their loved ones.

On this day... 25 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,997 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same.
