Do Not Grow Cold!
Pressures of daily life have a way of revealing the true condition of our hearts. As lawlessness grows, compromise becomes increasingly normalized, and the love of many around you will decrease greatly. When we drift from God and begin to live apart from His truth and His ways, it will lead us to offense, deception, betrayal, and hatred.

No one intends to drift from God. We drift one compromise, one distraction, and one neglected moment with Him at a time. Yet, Jesus calls His people to a different response. We are called to endure, guard our hearts, and remain in close intimacy with Jesus. Though the current of this world seeks to pull many away from God, it is never greater than His power or the transforming work of His Spirit.

Reflection
Consider the affection of your heart for the Lord. Has your love for Him grown stronger, or has it grown cold through distraction, compromise, or complacency?

Reflect on your heart before the Lord.

Pray
Ask the Lord to help you flee temptation and reject anything that stirs the desires of the flesh. Ask Him to strengthen you to walk by His Spirit and live in obedience to His Word. Ask the Lord to shape your heart to love what He loves and hate what He hates!

God hears your prayers.
Invite Him to meet you in the midst of whatever you're dealing with.
Nothing is off-limits ... pray about anything.
