As the only Patagonia retailer here and a proud 1% for the Planet participant, we donate 1% of sales to local conservation. Mountain Sports was founded on a love of skiing and adventuring in the outdoors. Brothers Mark and Bruce Lamberson started the company in 1973 and in 1980 expanded to Flagstaff. The tradition of a family owned and operated business is still alive and well as Mark and his daughter work side by side with our active team to share our enthusiasm for playing outside. Like you, we live and love the casual, local lifestyle. We pride ourselves in offering exceptional, helpful, hometown customer service. At Mountain Sports, the vibe is always warm and welcoming. We are not only an outdoor shop; we are a gathering spot in the heart of downtown. We open our doors as a community space for locals and travelers alike. We use our retail shop to celebrate to our friends and neighbors and their involvement and all things fun and Flagstaff. Through our membership in 1% For the Planet, we grant one percent of our sales to help fund local environmental and conservation projects. Thus far, we’ve granted more than $160,000 in the Flagstaff community. In 2013, Mountain Sports celebrates its 40th year in business. Stylish and super soft, the Hoodie does it all. Made and sourced in Peru, each style is hand signed by the person who finished the sewing. The Inca ID at the hem is handwoven.

✔️Thermoregulating- Alpaca fiber adapts from freezing climates (-10°F) to intense
✔️Soft- 17-19 micron fibers, the same diameter as cashmere

Join us for an inspiring evening at Mountain Sports Flagstaff as we celebrate the vibrant local art scene. This First Friday Art Walk will feature Coconino Metalsmith!

Coconino Metalsmith is the creative work of a Flagstaff local who has spent a lifetime crafting unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.
A graduate of Northern Arizona University with a BFA in Metalsmithing, this artist is inspired by the shapes found in nature, architecture, and everyday objects. Working with metals and repurposed materials, Coconino Metalsmith creates functional, fun, and rugged works of art for you to use and wear.

The joy of the process comes from the design and challenge of construction, as well as the emotional connection each piece has with its owner. Each work is handmade with joy, reflecting your personal style and taste.

We’ll also have a selection of Sam’s beautiful charcuterie and cutting boards, perfect for those who appreciate craftsmanship and love unique, functional pieces for their home.

This event is free and open to all, so come celebrate local art, creativity, and community with us at Mountain Sports Flagstaff! We can’t wait to see you there!

Public lands belong to all of us, and what happens to them deserves public attention. In the lead-up to National Public Lands Day on September 26th, communities, nonprofits, and partners are coming together to highlight what’s at stake and build momentum around the future of our shared public lands.

This campaign is centered around three simple demands: no public land sell-offs, no giveaways, and no backroom deals. The goal is to bring people together across communities and make sure public input remains part of decisions about the lands and resources we all share.
