Announcement:
Pocket Fire Update: June 30, 2026
The Pocket Fire on the Coconino National Forest is affecting some of our parks and natural areas.

Trail and area closures:
Rogers Lake County Natural Area remains closed, including the Two Spot and Gold Digger trails.
Highlands Trail is closed where it leaves Fort Tuthill.
Portions of Soldiers Trail are closed. Reroute signs are posted.

Fort Tuthill is in Stage 2 Fire Restrictions:
RAMADAS at Fort Tuthill remains open; however, grills are closed and locked. Patrons are allowed to bring their own GAS grill ONLY. Smoking is prohibited at our Ramadas.
CAMPGROUNDS: NO Campfires, NO Charcoal/Wood Grills, and NO Smoking.
FORT TUTHILL ARCHERY RANGE: remains open. Stay on Archery Road, as the surrounding forest and trails are closed.

Emergency personnel are using much of Fort Tuthill County Park to support fire operations. While our park remains open, please give emergency personnel space to work.
All other trails and amenities across our parks and natural areas remain open. Follow us and check back for updates as conditions change.

🏹 Bowhunter Education Field Day – May 9th

We’re excited to partner with Arizona Game and Fish Department to host an upcoming Bowhunter Education Field Day at the Flagstaff Archers range.

This hands-on class is a great opportunity to build real-world skills, including tree stand safety, shot placement, equipment review, and a simulated hunt experience. Whether you’re new to bowhunting or looking to sharpen your knowledge, this is a valuable course led by experienced instructors.
