A quick little trip this weekend to Lake Barkley, Kentucky for a little fishing with my sons, soon to be son-in-law, and his buddy. The bite was slow, but we still managed to catch some smallmouth! First ones they have ever caught! Memories made🎣

I spent some more time on the water this weekend on two of Illinois' best Bass Lakes, Coffeen and Newton. Caught some quality fish and on Sunday we finished just out of the money in a tournament with four bass that weighed 15 1/2 pounds! Not a bad weekend though. I learned a long time ago that you cannot win them all, and when you don't, you need to learn something from the experience and do it differently the next time.

It isn't always largemouth bass that I catch! White's are good too. Especially in the fryer!

Got the new Garmin Livescope installed and setup on the boat! WOW! That is all that I can say. Thanks to Spencer Shuffield Fishing for showing me how useful this tool is in the Toyota Series Table Rock Tournament. Now it is all up to me me to fine tune it and spend a lot of time on the water learning to utilize it!!
