Coconino HS Volleyball

It takes a small army of people to make HS sports happen. Each of our teams picked a member of support staff to honor last night with a thank you poster. But there are so many more people making volleyball games days a success. The BOOSTERS, the parents, the encouraging teachers who grant extra time on assignments, the admin, the referees. Panther Volleyball is grateful for every single one of you! THANK YOU for cheering our girls on this season in ways BIG & small! Senior Highlight Eva Wilke. Eva has been a positive happy influence in the Panther volleyball program for 4 years. Always willing to set up the nets and put away the balls. She works hard and stays focused both on the court and in the classroom. Ready to serve in whatever way the team has needed. She plans to go to college and study communication and or ministry after high school. We are going to miss having her in the gym next year, but she will shine bright wherever she goes! Thanks for being a part of Panther Volleyball Eva! ❤️

Evolve = to develop gradually from simple to complex. To be open to new things and to new people. To push yourself and others. Anaya and Dot both progressed throughout the season developing more confidence each game. Both being able to help their teams score crucial points. It is an honor to give them our last Character Award. Thanks for working so hard and coming out to play Panther Volleyball! 🐈‍⬛❤️🏐

This weeks character matters award of Caring goes to Jasmine and Carly. These two are always ready to greet everyone with a smile. They are thoughtful and sympathetic and invested in their teams even when things are not necessarily going their way. It has been a privilege getting to spend daily gym time with them. Proud to call them Panthers!

Noiseless - being resilient. Having a level of poise and composure that reflects a quiet confidence. This week’s character award goes to Eva P and Harper. Both girls are very steady both on and off the court. Working thru mistakes calmly to get the job done. We have seen them progress with poise all season. Being quiet is not what this trait reflects, quiet is not a part of Volleyball…it is a very chatty sport. Eva and Harper both have shown this Noiseless quality the entire season. They are complete assets to their teams. Happy to have them in our program!

Execute - to understand the goal and work unselfishly to attain it! Jazlyn and Neevah are both great athletes who work hard for the team. And exemplify team first mindset. Always ready to do what needs done and look for winning strategies both on and off the court. It is an honor to have them playing Panther volleyball!

Panther Volleyballs Joy and Eva receive this weeks Reliable award. These two girls are always setting up the nets first and putting all equipment away at the finish. You can count on them to communicate and show up both on and off the court. They put in full effort at every practice and consistently have great attitudes with willingness to push teammates to follow suit. How lucky are we to have them at CHS! ❤️ Keep shining ladies!

Efficient = the ability to maintain productivity and not waste time or effort. Emma and Hailey are both great at rallying their teammates to maintain a steady focus both during practice and in games. They are always on time and ready to show up both in class and on the court. Easy to rely on them to show up and be all in. Proud to have them in our VB family!

Panther Volleyball honors Celeste with the Forgive award. Celeste is a great teammate who celebrates success instantly and is always looking for ways to help those around her. She works hard always. This girl has many talents including lock picking! Who knew….What an asset she is to have on our team!
