Grand Canyon Rim to Rim Hike

Day 4 - We started hiking before daybreak from our camp at Indian Gardens up the South Rim of the Grand Canyon completing our journey, Rim to Rim.

Day 3 - (Day hike) - in the afternoon we hiked out and back from our Indian Gardens camp along the Tonto trail to Plateau Pointe.

Day 3 - Broke camp at 3 am and hiked from Bright Angel Camp along the Bright Angel trail to Indian Gardens Camp.

Day 2 - Continued along the North Kaibab trail from Cottonwood Camp to Bright Angel Camp.
Broke camp at 3:30am and began our hike before dawn.

We made it! What an awe inspiring journey. We live in a beautiful country friends. Enjoy.

Day 1 - From the North Rim to Cottonwood camp.

The guys are trekking across the canyon and apparently have no cell access. They’ll post their pics ASAP. In the meantime I thought I would share a few facts:

Standing at the top of the north rim at about 8500 feet.

Navajo Bridge over the Colorado River as we continue our drive to the North Rim.

We’ve loaded up in a van for our 5 hr ride to the North rim. We begin our 7 mi descent upon arrival. Our journey across the canyon begins. 👍

Walker Bob and I have arrived in Flagstaff AZ in advance of our hike down the North Rim of the GC tomorrow morning. We will begin the day at about 8,000 feet of elevation and descend 4,161 feet and 7 miles to our first camp at Cottonwood campground. 🤞
We are unsure of how often during this 4 day adventure we will be able to post. But post we will, sooner or later.
