I met Don when I was in high school and it was always fun to watch him jump. He was breaking records then and is still breaking records now! He’s a legend in the Texas Pole vault community and a reminder that it’s never too late to start jumping. 💪

Meet the Founder: Coach Kate Kearney 🚀

Welcome to Vault Lab! For those joining the journey for the first time, I wanted to introduce the heart and soul behind the pit.

I am a former elite athlete and University of Texas at Austin alumna. My years on the "Forty Acres" were defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence, leading me to:
• 2014 NCAA Indoor Champion
• 7-Time Big 12 Champion

After a successful career in Corporate America as a Business Account Executive and embracing the rewarding life of a Stay-at-Home Mom to my two children, Breck and Emma, I’ve decided to return to my first love: the pole vault pit.

Supported by my husband, Sean, I am pursuing my dream of mentoring the next generation of athletes right here in Fleming Island. At Vault Lab, we combine elite-level technical experience with a passion for building confidence and character in young athletes.

I’m so glad you’re here. Stay tuned—we’re just getting started!
