April found her relationship w/ Hot Yoga when she was in Graduate School in Miami Shores in 2008. Looking for a new cardio training to add to her already 3 hour a day Gym routine and 2 hour a day on Tennis Court Training. She was surprised & fell in love with the Mental Strength it takes as well as the Physical. This led into her becoming a Full Time Yoga Teacher after Graduating with a Master of
Sport Management & immediately attending an intense 2-a-day, 9 week Training in Vegas to become a Bikram Hot Yoga Teacher. Also, attending in 2017 a Private 6 week, Elemental Yoga Teacher Training in Bali in an Ashram, brought a deeper understanding of the meditative & intentional aspect of Balancing within. Teaching in China, all over Miami, the 5 Burrows of New York, Jamaica, USVI's, Indonesia, California, India, NC, etc has brought a lot of experience & awareness. Since 2008, she has traveled the World teaching and practicing on her own Dime and now 15 years Later has just opened up her own Hot Yoga Studio in Fletcher NC. Gathering many different types of Yoga Practices and knowledge along her journey. This Studio "Light of Spring Hot Yoga" focuses on Hatha Yoga, more specifically Elemental Hot Yoga w Bikram yoga intertwined. Elemental Yoga involves the belief in Nature's 5 Elements and the practice of maintaining balance of our own 5 Elements within. The closer we are aligned with Nature, the highest possible Human Experience we can enjoy on this Planet floating in Space. Using Meridian Lines that coordinate with the main 10 Organs, and 2 organs for each Element; one can align themselves with the Seasons all year round. Creating a special routine for the Yogi to practice daily that can heal most any ailment they are suffering Mentally, Physically or Spiritually; as it's almost always some unbalance within our Elements. Incorporating Meditation, Strength Training, Visualization, Music, Asana & Sound Baths as per client's preference. Intentional Practice involves eating aligned with the Seasons for fastest healing. The Asanas (Postures) add to the overall Intention we are creating, or dedication to Nature we are offering. The closer we are aligned with Nature's Elements as they flow throughout the Year, the higher vibrational Human Experience we can experience. Let's Play!
