First responders skate for bragging rights and charity The Annual Battle of the Badges Charity Hockey Game is October 19 at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center in Flint. Game time is 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at the door.

Willie O’Ree, NHL’s first black player, to appear in Flint O'Ree will be in Flint Saturday for the final day of the Flint Inner City Youth Hockey Program and he will also appear at Perani's Hockey World and the Flint Firebirds game

Congratulations to the Fall 2017 Battle of the Badges Face-off for Charity Hockey Game champions, "Team Genesee County Police Officers"!!! The game was one of the most competitive in years and that was evident by the tie score at the end of the regulation game time. The action was so hot that it got foggy in the arena!!! The boys in blue pulled off the victory in a 5 round shootout to end a game filled with grit, excitement and skills by both squads. Thanks to the Flint Firebirds organization for their hospitality and incredible support. The players would also like to thank all who supported us for this game! The ultimate winners are the fantastic charitable organizations that we support, C.O.P.S. and Salvation Army of Flint.
