Homeschool kids already spend a lot of time with the same small circle. Jiu Jitsu gives them a second one: a room of kids their age, a coach who runs the class, and a partner they have to work with. It is social time that is not a playdate, and movement that is not another screen.
Every kid who walks in is nervous. The shy ones and the ones with too much energy both end up in the same place, which is on the mats with a partner, working on something they could not do last week.
Our Kids Program is run like a class, not a free-for-all. Coaches teach one technique at a time, kids drill it with a partner, and nobody is thrown into anything they have not been shown first. Parents get a set schedule, a clear start and finish, and a place their child is expected to listen the first time.
🥋 What homeschool kids get out of it:
✅ How to defend themselves without throwing a punch
✅ Listening the first time and waiting their turn
✅ Balance, coordination, and the kind of fitness that comes from playing
✅ Staying calm when someone is putting pressure on them
✅ Friends outside the house, the co-op, and the family
✅ A coach and a class structure that school usually provides
✅ Confidence that shows up at home, not just on the mats
Built for ages 4 to 12
Little Champs and Juniors. First-time students, kids who have never done a sport, shy kids, and kids who need somewhere to put the energy. Homeschool families are welcome whether you are new to Florence or have been at it for years.
There are about 14 weeks left in the year. That is a full term of classes, a uniform, and a routine your child is already in before January.
