I haven’t been baking a lot lately so this was so fun to do!! 6” 3 layer, Strawberry Crunch Cake (vanilla cake layers, filled with homemade strawberry jam filling, and bits of oreo and strawberry crumble)

My first wedding cake can be checked off my list ✅🙌🏾, but not checked off as a total success 😩. My baby started to tilt on my way there! This style of cake is considered “Naked”. The bottom tier had this one particular spot that should’ve had frosting on it for support purposes. The cake started to come to room temperature on my way to the venue and started to tilt 😩😩. When I say I opened that cake box and immediately when into hyperventilation mode!!! I could’ve just sank into the floor. Everyone was so encouraging around me and supported me in every way I needed. Thank God I brought extra frosting and flowers. I fixed the cake to my best abilities, and it turned out beautifully. The cake stood strong for hours later, the bride was happy, and the guests loved it! Not a slice left in sight 🙌🏾. (Pic left before I left home, pic right when I left venue)

The 4th Of July is quickly approaching 🎆!!!! Can’t wait to celebrate and bake delicious goodies for my Arkansas Family 🫶🏾🎆!! AlyssaBakesSweets will be up and running after the holidays!
