Throwback Thursday! So here's some pictures of construction that happened to the current Fischer's building. We do not have a date for the first two pictures, slides 3-7 are all from May 12th 1962. Can anyone spot anything that has stayed the same?

Florissant and Chesterfield locations are closed again due to the weather.

More history! Pictured is the building of the current Fischer's location. You will notice it is half the size that it currently is! This is how the current building originally started, and the second half was added later on. Although the picture is dated "Winter 1955," we speculate the process of building actually began in 1954.

Throwback Thursday! August 1953 is when Clarabell the clown visited Fischer's. Clarabell was a widely known character from a popular tv show Howdy Doody. This event took place at Fischer's original location on St. Francois, where Fleck's Appliance Center currently is located. Due to how busy the streets were, we speculate people all over St. Louis were coming to Florissant and Fischer's to see Clarabell.
