Tomorrow is a BIG day for the FMCTT! It's our 2nd Annual Autumn Clay Clash. It's turning out to be a GREAT event at Northlake Shooting Sports -- sh***un start at 9AM with Lunch provided by Flurry's. We still have a few team slots available, and the weather is about PERFECT. Spread the word. Also, many thanks to our elite and continued sponsors for the team. We're ever grateful.

Repost!! This week -- we're looking forward to seeing some new faces!!

One of the safest youth sports may not be the one you'd expect.

As we prepare for another season with the Flower Mound Clay Target Team, we want to invite our community to learn a little more about a sport that means a great deal to our student athletes and families.

Clay target sports are built around safety, discipline, responsibility, teamwork and respect. Safety isn't simply something we talk about — it's foundational to everything these athletes are taught.

In fact, the USA Clay Target League reports zero recorded injuries to athletes, coaches or spectators since the League began, across more than 150,000 participating athletes and more than 300 million targets. Athletes are required to complete safety certification, use appropriate protective equipment, follow strict procedures and participate under trained adult supervision.

But what we're most proud of is what happens beyond the scorecard.

Our athletes learn to focus under pressure.
They learn accountability.
They encourage their teammates.
They develop confidence and self-discipline.
And they build friendships with students and adult mentors who share those same values.

We're welcoming interested families and students. 7th and 8th graders can participate with our Intermediate Team, with high school students competing on our JV and Varsity teams. Our current athletes and team leadership will be there, so it's a great opportunity to meet the team, ask questions and learn how the program works.
