Well ... let me tell you... The Harmonized Schedule code for this product 8308100 corresponds to "hooks, eyes, and eyelets of base metal used for clothing, footwear, handbags, awnings, and travel goods" frequently used in children's goods.

Now since July 2026 - this code will automatically generate a screening at customs requiring the importer to provide Consumer Product Safety Testing information - as this is frequently used in children's apparel.

Alternatively - if it is used on the harness of a BCD - and NOT subject to regulations - an importer should proactively:

File your entry in the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), they should not leave the CPSC field blank. Instead, they must submit a PGA Disclaimer.
