Goldfish Swim School - Flushing Teaching kids how to swim is our passion! Goldfish is much more than a swim school. You feel it the moment you walk in. Something different. Something unexpected.

Goldfish Swim School – Flushing is a state-of-the-art swimming facility dedicated to teaching children as young as 4 months old. It’s more than vibrant colors chosen to inspire kids. More than a curriculum crafted to not only teach kids to swim but also to build their character through guided play. More than a shiver-free pool heated to 90 degrees. There’s something more. Something beyond typical. It’s passion. Not just a passion for kids or a passion for swimming…it’s a special passion for changing – even saving – lives by teaching kids to swim and be safer in and around the water. We use our holistic philosophy, The Science of SwimPlay®, to build life skills both in and out of the water using play-based learning in a fun and safe environment. In a class size of no more than 4 children to 1 swim instructor, children master the skills they need to be safer and confident in the water. Beginning as early as 4 months, children progress through a series of perpetual swimming lessons, graduating to higher levels of difficulty as swimming skills are mastered. Goldfish also offers special events like parties, Family Swim, accelerated Jump Start Clinics and our Goldfish Swim Force Team, catered to swimmers who have completed the Goldfish Pro Level. Goldfish Swim School – Flushing is proud to help teach the children of the great community of Flushing, NY how to swim and be safer in the water. We encourage you to stop by for a tour of our facilities. We guarantee you’ll love it at Goldfish! To learn more, please visit www.goldfishswimschool.com.

"What if my child is scared of swim lessons?"
If your kiddo clings a little tighter before class, feels unsure about getting in or needs extra time before trying a new skill, you're probably wondering: Should I keep going?

Feeling nervous around something new can take time to work through.
That's why progress doesn't always look like swimming across the pool.

Sometimes progress looks like getting in the water. 💧
Putting their face in for the first time.
Trying the skill they said "no" to last week.
Or getting out of the pool saying, "I did it!" ☺️

Those small wins matter. With consistent opportunities to practice and support from their swim instructor, kiddos can work toward greater comfort and confidence at their own pace. 🧡

What small swim win are you celebrating lately?

Aiden has made so much progress in his swimming lessons. He moved up from Pro 2 to Swim Force, showing how hard he has worked and how much he has improved. He continues to build his confidence, listen to his instructors, and challenge himself during every lesson. We are so proud of his progress and excited to see what he accomplishes next!

Ever watch swim lessons and think, "Wait...didn't they practice that last week?" 👀
Yep, and there's a reason! 🙌

Those kicks, pulls, crab walks, breaths, and floats get stronger with practice. Consistent lessons give kiddos the chance to keep working on what they know while building the skills they're ready to tackle next.

So when you see your little fish doing it AGAIN (and again...and again 😅), know that repetition is helping turn practice into progress.🧡

P.S. Who can tell us the name of our octopus friend shown here? Bonus points if you can tell us why we included her! 🐙
