A lot of people make nutrition way more complicated than it needs to be.
They obsess over:
❌ Meal timing
❌ Carb-to-fat ratios
❌ Eating 6 tiny meals a day
❌ Nutrition hacks
Meanwhile, they’re completely ignoring the things that actually drive results:
✅ Calories
✅ Protein
✅ Consistency
For most people, getting enough protein, controlling calories, and sticking to a plan long enough to see results matters far more than trying to build the “perfect” diet.
As far as carbs and fats go, both can work. Just make sure you’re getting enough fats for hormone production, brain function, vitamin absorption, and overall health.
Personally, I like prioritizing carbs a bit higher because they support training performance, recovery, energy levels, and brain function—but either approach can work.
If you’re not tracking calories and protein yet, don’t overcomplicate things.
Start with the 80/20 rule:
🥩 80% whole, nutrient-dense foods
🍕 20% flexibility
Most people don’t need a perfect diet.
They need a sustainable one they can actually stick to.
