Because apparently “eyes on your teacher” works approximately 37% of the time when you’re tiny, adorable, and have VERY important things to tell your dance besties. 😂

A little less chatting, a little more dancing… and somehow we WILL get this choreography learned.

The demonstration: still got it.
The recovery: we don’t need to talk about it.

Because apparently our brains still think we’re 16… but our bodies would like to respectfully remind us that we are, in fact, the teacher now. 😂

Tap isn’t just learning steps… it’s building a vocabulary. 👏🏼👞✨

During these tap step drills, our instructor calls out a step and our dancers have to pull from what they already know—skills learned last week, last season, or even years ago!

No choreography to follow. No copying the person in front of you. Just listening, remembering, and trusting their training.

Because at MDC, we aren’t just teaching dances for the stage—we’re building dancers who understand their craft and can confidently use the skills they’ve worked so hard to develop.

Every shuffle, flap, cramp roll, and time step becomes another tool in their toolbox.

You sign them up for dance thinking they’ll learn some steps… and somewhere along the way, they find their person. 🥹🩰💕

The one they look for when they walk into class, giggle with between combinations, cheer for from the wings, and grow up beside year after year.

Because some of the sweetest things they’ll take from the studio have nothing to do with dance at all. 🤍
