Taking a moment to reflect on last Friday.🤍

Poetry in Motion truly exceeded my expectations. From beautiful video submissions, to lovely live performances, each dancer worked so hard to create a work that was uniquely them. Each participating student was tasked with selecting a poem, creating their choreography, choosing a costume, and bringing their vision to life. For those who chose not to dance, several dancers submitted artwork that was equally as magnificent.

I am so proud of the creativity displayed by each student, and I’m so honored to have gotten to see their dances throughout every step of the process.🩰

One whole year of Coastal Dance Company🥳🩰

Today, we celebrate a year of dancing, growing, and stepping into new seasons. What began in a small rented room with a handful of beautiful dancers, has developed into a new space, with more lovely faces in our classes and on our team.

As a small studio, we are so thankful for the support we have received in our first year. There are not words to describe how wonderful this journey has been.

I am extremely grateful for the families that have chosen to grow with us, the dancers who have pushed themselves this year, and the people behind the scenes that make the magic come to life.

Thank you for trusting me, and my extraordinary team, with your ballerinas.💗

We are building, we are working, we are praying, and we are pouring out joy over the new season ahead. I’m feeling very blessed to do what I do, and I’m looking forward to all the opportunities to dance with you ahead.

POETRY IN MOTION DETAILS🤍

Dancers Arrive: 5pm in costume with all costumes needed
Doors Open to Public: 5:30pm
Dances Begin: 6pm
Location: Foley Community Library Auditorium

If you are a student who is not dancing, but created art work for the event, you can arrive at 5:30pm. No dance attire required.

THIS WEEK:
Dancers must be able to present their FULLY finished choreography confidently on Monday/Tuesday to be able to perform. Costumes must also be shown to your teacher for approval no later than Tuesday. All last-minute artwork creations must be handed in by 9/3.

As promised, our updated fall schedule!🍂

While, most times did not change, a couple of classes were offset by 15 minutes to allow time for traffic, parking, and changing, while our parking lot is still under construction.

For those of you who are still adjusting to the new location, we want you to know that we are learning with you! Please have grace for yourself if you’ve made a wrong turn or are running a little behind as we transition. If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email us! We are also in the process of getting a NEW studio phone number and will share as soon as that line is live.📲📧

The first day of the new schedule starts on Monday! If you reached out to us about ordering new dancewear and it is not in on time, please feel free to wear whatever you have in your dance bag until it arrives.

If you took home paperwork or were not in class last night to fill it out, please come in about 15 minutes early for your first class next week so we can make sure everyone has all that they need!

Ladies and Gentlemen📣 Today is the LAST DAY of our current schedule & we have a lot to share:⬇️

First, enjoy this beautiful photo by Macy Sorrell | Orange Beach Photographer who once again blew us away with her camera! More photos to come!

Second, tonight is the last night of our old schedule before we kickoff our new schedule next week. Parents, we have paperwork for you to fill out tonight, so please don’t leave without visiting the front desk!

If your child needs dancewear, please also let us know at the front desk so we can order it for you.

NOTE FOR NEW SCHEDULE: A formal post will be made tomorrow, but in order to ensure that our parking lot is accessible while still under construction, we have decided to alter the new schedule to allow for 15 minute increments between classes. This will allow easier access to changing and bathrooms without overlapping into other classes. While our new studio is still in the works, we are so grateful to each and every one of you for pardoning our progress.

Mrs. Morgan will be available all evening in the studio to assist with questions & orders. Please know that we are here for you all and want to make this transition as seamless as possible! As we like to say in dance, practice makes (almost) perfect, and we appreciate all your patience as we grow.
