A year ago, we set a goal that felt big: run in the 15s at Midland Barrels. We worked through tough days, slow runs, and moments where it felt just out of reach.

But this past weekend… everything clicked. We clocked a 15.4 and 15.6, and it felt like every ounce of effort finally paid off.

My heart is so full. Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. And now that we’ve hit this milestone, I’m more excited than ever for what comes next.

My goal for Midland Barrels this year was to finally get into the 15’s! Jett finally made that happen for me and we had a smokin run!

After a busy race day Jett gets The Warrior Stores C*D Poultice on his legs, hocks, down his back and bum. He seems to really enjoy the pampering and I enjoy making sure he’s feeling his best after working so hard for me!

This past week was a milestone for me and my horses.

Wednesdays Mill Brook race brought a Youth 2D win with Luna and 2D second in Open with Jett.

Saturday was highlighted by a 1D First Open win, and although my first VTHSRA run would have been the fastest of the day, a knock kept it from counting. Luna still secured 3rd in Poles, and Jett posted the fastest time of the day.

Sunday continued the momentum with a clean VTHSRA run on Jett, another 1D Open win, and 2nd place in VTHSRA Poles.

I’m grateful to have Luna back and feeling strong, and I’m proud of the progress Jett and I are making. It feels great to see the hard work paying off.
