Last week at the San Gabriel Valley Women’s Summit, I walked away reminded of what good community leadership looks like — organized, welcoming, and actually focused on moving women forward (not just taking photos and calling it a day). Thank you to the Duarte Chamber of Commerce for hosting and for creating a space where people could connect in a real way.

I’m proud that CA-MBA gets to be part of that — showing up alongside the Duarte Chamber, helping widen the circle, and making sure more women entrepreneurs feel seen, included, and connected to the right rooms and resources. And a sincere thank you to the sponsors who helped make it possible: .

Wishing the best of luck to everyone participating in today’s event — and congratulations to our friends and colleagues and . Can’t wait to hear all about it!

What an exciting way to kick off the New Year! I was recently interviewed by about my journey as President. Honestly, life has been full of surprises—some beautiful, some humbling. I’ve learned that adaptability is everything. When I wasn’t adaptable, life had a way of pushing me to grow anyway. Every pivot I’ve made—has never been a roadblock. It’s always been a redirect toward something better, something more aligned with who I’m becoming.

I’m exactly where I’m meant to be and Im grateful for every detour that got me here.

I hope you’ll read the article and see a little of yourself in my story. Maybe it’ll spark something, or maybe it’ll just remind you that you’re not alone in this messy, beautiful journey. Your support and connection mean more to me than you know. 🫶

🌎💛 Human Dignity is Not Conditional 💛🌎
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to attend a “Know Your Rights and Protect Your Community” virtual event, and it was powerful. The conversation was urgent and inspiring, and it reminded me that standing in solidarity starts with being informed.
Grateful to see several of our California legislators present and actively supporting the cause:
* Senator Bob Archuleta
* Speaker of the Assembly Robert Rivas
* Assemblymember Mike Gipson
* Assemblymember Lisa Calderon
* Assemblymember Esmeralda Soria
* Assemblymember Blanca Pacheco
* Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes
* Assemblymember Dr. Rhodesia Ransom
The event was led by Allison Davenport, Senior Managing Attorney with the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, and the knowledge shared is something everyone — regardless of immigration status — needs to know.
“Now is the time for those of us with citizen privilege to use our rights to defend others in our communities.”
🛑 Key Takeaways:
* Racial profiling is being disguised as immigration enforcement — this is not due process.
* ICE rarely has a valid judicial warrant (signed by a judge). Don’t open your door without one.
* Know your rights: You are protected under the Constitution, regardless of immigration status.
* Minimize exposure: You can ask to reschedule immigration appointments by phone if you feel unsafe.
* Seek only accredited legal help: Ask if your legal counsel is DOJ-recognized or a licensed attorney.
* We must raise our voices — and follow with action — to defend the rights of our neighbors.
This political climate is shifting fast, and it’s frightening — but it was clear today that many are fighting for human rights, dignity, and justice.
👥 These are not strangers. They are our friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and classmates.
It’s up to all of us to advocate, protect, and uplift them. Let’s educate ourselves and one another. Let’s demand better.

Latinas are not only driving economic growth in the U.S.—contributing a staggering $1.3 trillion to the GDP in 2021 alone—but we are also the embodiment of resilience, grit, and ambition. Behind those numbers are women who wake up early, work late, study harder, and push boundaries—often while caring for family, community, and culture.

We’re persistent in our pursuit of success, not just for ourselves but to uplift those around us. Each step forward is powered by generations before us—our abuelitas, madres, and tías—who worked tirelessly, often with less opportunity, so we could rise higher. We carry their dreams in our hearts and their sacrifices in our spirits.

With every degree earned, business started, or position of leadership reached, we honor our roots. We’re proud of where we come from, and we’re determined to go even further—not just to break barriers, but to build bridges for those coming next.

This isn’t just economic growth—it’s generational evolution. And we’re just getting started. ✨

“Legacy. What is a legacy? It’s planting seeds in a garden you never get to see.” — Hamilton

Driving to Sacramento through beautiful vineyards and orchards and the thought of planting seeds really sunk in. Each year the trees go bare and the thought of them coming back to life, vibrant, bearing its yield seems unreal. Then legacy came to mind. In all of the thoughts that are continually on repeat to me recently is legacy. How can I create a legacy for future generations? What collaborations need to take place to do so? Where do I begin? I’m so grateful to have these questions being answered in organic ways, growing with purpose and surrounding myself with others who are aligned in the mission/vision at the end of the day we all want to continue to educate and grow and leave legacies behind for our loved ones, neighbors, friends and communities. Cheers to planting the seeds! 🥂
