Sunday's TRU Cycling adventure had a little bit of everything.
Most of the group wisely stopped at C'est Si Bon for the legendary French bread and pâté. A brave few decided that wasn't enough mileage and pushed all the way to Sunset Beach before regrouping for the ride south through the breathtaking coastline of Crystal Cove.
Then came the real test...
Newport Coast.
The climb was tough. The heat was relentless. The humidity felt like someone had wrapped Southern California in a wet blanket. Every pedal stroke required a little more grit, a little more determination, and maybe a few conversations with yourself about why cycling seemed like a good hobby. 😅
There was plenty of sweat. There may have been a few tears. There were definitely moments when gravity appeared personally offended by our presence.
But that's what makes TRU Cycling special.
Nobody quit. Nobody turned around. Nobody got left behind.
Every rider dug deep, encouraged one another, and made it to the top.
The roads we remember most aren't the easy ones. They're the ones that challenge us, humble us, and remind us that we're capable of more than we think. Today wasn't just about reaching the summit of Newport Coast. It was about proving that together, we can get through the hard stuff, one pedal stroke at a time.
Proud of this crew. Strong riders. Stronger friends. 💪🚴♂️🚴♀️
If you've ever pushed through something difficult and come out stronger on the other side, hit that 👍 and celebrate perseverance with us!
