We are happy to announce that MyTHS will be adding ANOTHER of classes for our members! MyTHS will now be OPEN on Thursday evenings, with classes, from 8:15 pm to 10:30 pm!

Adding to our program we will be hosing C Burns as a rapier instructor every other Friday night starting October 2nd!

MyTHS is a nonprofit HEMA club in Forest Hill, MD, teaching longsword, rapier, saber, and historical fencing for Harford County, Cecil County, Baltimore, and Delaware.

Krampus is returning—and this time, he’s bringing even more festive chaos! After the blast we had at last year's event, MyTHS is officially making Krampusfect an annual holiday tradition. We are moving to a larger weekend venue at Harford Community College and bringing a brand new twist.

The Gimmick: You don’t choose your weapon. Before each bout, Krampus’s mischievous Anti-Claus magic randomly dictates what both fencers must wield (you use matched weapons):
Longsword
Saber
Rapier
NEW for 2026: Rapier and Dagger!

We Need Your Help (Volunteers & Fencers!): We have plenty of room in our tournament space to host well over 30 fencers, but our actual cap is strictly limited by our staffing ability. If you are willing to help out, please grab a volunteer ticket! The more volunteers we have on deck, the more fencers we can let into the brackets.

Don't own all the weapons? Don't let that stop you. We will have loaner gear available (just email us in advance so we can confirm availability).

🗓 When: Saturday, December 12, 2026 | 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
📍 Where: Harford Community College (Susquehanna Building – Auxiliary Gym), Bel Air, MD

Please share this post and help spread the word to your clubmates. Whether you come to fence, volunteer, or just cheer on the holiday mayhem, we can't wait to see you there! 👹

⚔️ If you spent any time around the Combat Arena on Saturday, you probably caught Maryland Training in Historical Swordsmanship (MyTHS) in action!

MyTHS brought Historical European Martial Arts, or HEMA, to Oakenmist with demonstrations and discussions exploring real combat techniques preserved in historical sources.

A huge thank you to MyTHS for spending Saturday sharing their knowledge, skills, and love of historical combat with our patrons! 🌿
