We offer non-competitive BEGINNER and ADVANCED classes, taught by trained, caring basketball coaches who know how to help children build their confidence while learning in a healthy, camp-like environment. Everything we do is designed to be CHILD SENSITIVE. We realize not every child is an athlete, but every child wants to look good in front of his/her friends and be recognized for their effort. We give them the skills and the confidence to feel good about themselves and their performance. We use basketball to build self-esteem, showing children how capable they are, and proving they can succeed no matter how difficult the task may seem. First Shotl was created to provide the comprehensive instruction and positive encouragement kids need. Our lessons focus on a child's strong points, recognizing the smallest achievements. We teach them the basic skills, including shooting, passing, dribbling with a healthy dose of good sportsmanship. Our teaching methods are geared to make each player feel like a winner inside themselves--where it really counts!
