Lynchburg Sports got a stellar complete game from Logan Tapman to claim their 40th win (3-1) and force a winner-take-all third game for the super regional title, but the Hornets came up short (6-2) in the day's second affair with East Texas Baptist advancing to the final eight of the NCAA Division III Baseball Championship

Three stars collected All-American honors on Saturday to cap the final day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. WLU Generals thrower Bailey Hedgemon earned a 1st Team laurel and reset her own record in the women's hammer throw. Lynchburg Sports Kacey Kelly added to her résumé with a 1st team honor in the women's triple jump, and teammate Chasen Hunt earned a 2nd Team nod in the men's 5K, which included four ODAC competitors. That is the 2nd-most athletes from league schools to compete in an individual event in conference history

WLU Generals senior Lauren Long capped her highly successful career with an appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship singles tournament quarterfinals. She fell to Alessandra Sikharulidze from Babson College, 3-6, 5-7. Long closes her time in Lexington with a 124-41 career record (67-16 in singles) in all matches highlighted by four All-American awards

Five stars earned All-American honors on a busy and successful 2nd day at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Lynchburg Sports Lamont Victoria picked up two honors with teammates Jamarcus Brown and Micah Leech joining him with 1st Team laurels. Bridgewater Eagles Sports Abby Mikolay and WLU Generals Macky Gartley collected 2nd Team plaudits along with Victoria

WLU Generals senior Lauren Long kicked off NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship singles competition with a pair of wins to advance to the quarterfinal round of the event. With her first win, Long became the third 4-time All-American in WLU program history, joining former standouts Sonja Meighan and Lindsay Hagerman

WLU Generals and Randolph-Macon College Athletics both achieved program-best finishes at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships. WLU finished 4th overall to eclipse two 9th place showings in 2021 and 2023. RMC bettered its tie for 20th last season by placing 12th this week. WLU's Toral Bhatt was the top player in a tie for 16th at 5-over 293. RMC's Morgan Mussatt was ODAC 2nd-best at 6-over 294 in a tie for 19th.

Virginia Wesleyan Athletics completed its 2-game super regional sweep of Case Western Reserve University with a 15-0 in 5 innings on Friday to advance to the final eight of the NCAA Division III Softball Championship. The Marlins outscored the Spartans, 25-0, over 10 innings to advance to Salem and the new James I. Moyer Sports Complex. Stay tuned for the announcement of the full announcement of the final eight squads and their assignment into a pair of 4-team pods by the Division III Softball Championship Committee Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge City of Salem

Lynchburg Sports Alex Jordan finished 4th and reset the record in the men's 10K to highlight the exploits of five ODAC stars in action on the 1st day of competition at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. WLU Generals Olivia Warr (10K) and Roanoke College Athletics Ophelia Ladner (400H) earned 2nd Team All-America honors
