Itโs hard to believe 25 years have gone by. โค๏ธ๐ค๐
For those of us who were alive, the memory of where we were, who we were with and the utter disbelief of what we watched unfold live on camera will never leave us.
I was in a freshman dorm at Rutgers. We were all finally beginning to settle into a new life away from home. I woke up to chaos and confusion up and down the halls. My entire floor ended up huddled together in one room, glued to the news. Thatโs when the second plane hit the South Tower, right in front of our eyes.
The fear in that tiny room was palpable. Suddenly, home was where every one of us wanted to be.
In the darkness of tragedy, there was beauty in the way the world came together. Such a hateful, heinous act produced so much love.
May we honor and remember all who lost their lives, both that day and in the days, months and years to follow, by carrying that same frequency of love, unity and compassion forward.
We will never forget. ๐บ๐ธ
