Fort Carson Mountaineers vs. Colorado Realm

Fort Carson’s squad, known for their discipline, teamwork, and relentless hustle, will bring the grit and resilience to the court. Their physicality, mental toughness, and strategic gameplay have made them a force to be reckoned with.

On the other side, the Colorado Realm Semi-Pro Basketball team is a formidable opponent, featuring a roster packed with former collegiate stars and emerging talent aiming to make their mark in the basketball world. With their sharp shooting, elite ball-handling, and well-coordinated plays, they will definitely put the Mountaineers defensive capabilities to the test and push the pace with high-level energy.

The Fort Carson Men's Installation Basketball team is gearing up for an exhilarating 2024-2025 season! The coaching staff is buzzing with excitement to coach, lead, mentor, and train these talented young men. This season isn't just about winning games—it's about building character, fostering teamwork, and preparing these athletes for success both on and off the court. We can't wait to see what this season holds for our team!

We will kick off the season with a scrimmage against Peterson SFB on Tuesday and then travel to Luke AFB this upcoming weekend to participate in the Luke AFB Labor Basketball Tournament.

Today was a historical and amazing today in Fort Carson Basketball Program. We were blessed with the opportunity to host the Otero Junior College Basketball Program at Ivy Physical Fitness Center on Fort Carson today. It has been between 4-5 years since Fort Carson has hosted a collegiate level basketball game on this installation. All of this could not have been made possible without the support of the Fort Carson Garrison Command Group (COL Sean Brown, CSM Jason Mortensen), Fort Carson MWR Representatives (Sean Gillotte, David Falls, Lorraine Thorson, Devon Foster, and John Duran) Fort Carson Officiating Crew (Willie Chatman, Jimmie Hughes, and their crew), and the members of the Fort Basketball Program for making this a momentous occasion. The members of this amazing program had the opportunity to display and showcase their skills and talents in front of their units, Chain of Commands, various leadership, family and friends.

We aren’t done yet, this is just the beginning……..

BIG SHOUT to the Fort Carson Mountaineers very own SGT Akeem Echols for being selected to represent the United States Army and the Fort Carson Mountain Post during the All-Service Basketball Tournament!

WHEWWWWWW, these last 2 weeks have been busy for the Fort Carson Basketball Program. We participated in the Luke Airforce Base Labor Day Basketball Tournament and the Peterson Space Force Base Tip Off Basketball Tournament. As a coach, when I have the opportunity to watch this program perform and excel despite the scrutiny, adversity, and negativity we faced with on a constant bases, the smile on each and every member of this program makes it all worth while.

HUGE SHOUTOUT to Jemia Allen from Luke AFB, Ted Albers from USAFA, and Roger Hill from Peterson SFB for allowing us to compete in their tournaments. Great job and we look forward to working with you all again soon!
