Welcome! We are happy to introduce Alison Smiley, MM, MT-BC, NMT the Executive Director and Music Therapist of Hearts in Harmony Music Therapy, LLC.
Alison Smiley is a Board-Certified Music Therapist. She first attended the School for Musical Vocations at Southwestern Community College, and then completed her bachelor’s degree in Jazz studies and performance at Saint Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. In May 2016, Alison completed her master’s degree in Music Therapy at The University of Kansas. She is currently practicing music therapy in Northern Colorado where she owns a private practice. Through her private practice Hearts in Harmony Music Therapy, Alison specializes in working with children and adults in a variety of populations including various developmental disabilities and individuals with traumatic brain injuries. Alison is an active vocalist with a classical and Jazz background who has a passion for improvised music. In her practice as a music therapist Alison strives to support and empower every client she works with.
