THIS SATURDAY! 1-4pm with Priscila
Welcome the bright Summer season with a specially curated workshop that will deepen your connection with your body, with your five senses, and with your chakras. The chakras are commonly known as seven energy centers in the body, which allow us to thrive in various aspects of our lives when they are centered and in alignment. This embodiment focused workshop creates the opportunity for pause, renewal, and access to the balance we are all seeking. In this restorative, trauma-informed workshop, we will gather in community to awaken our five senses as we learn about the Third Eye chakra by engaging in guided reflection, gentle chakra-balancing movement, and connection practices. Each workshop participant will receive a themed and nourishing refreshment, as well as a Third Eye chakra-balancing take-home resource to support your continued balance. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary. You are invited to come as you are, awaken your intuition, and soften into balance.

This Sunday 4-6pm! Animal Communication with Tamera is back!!
Come practice your psychic abilities (even if you are still learning what they are) on animals! This class is an easy and fun way to start tapping into your natural abilities to understand the animals around you. All that is required is a fun and easy attitude and a photo of your pet.

Tamara will teach you:
How to tap into your ability to communicate with animals.
How animals, in return, communicate.
How to understand and decipher what they are telling you.
How to further trust your abilities, and the psychic messages that you receive.

Tamara has been talking with animals most of her life, but it wasn’t until she realized that they were talking back that she sought out classes to help her further understand her gifts. She is now a Certified Animal Communicator (since 2014) and is passionate about teaching others how to further their own abilities and how to speak with the animals.

🔥Teacher Feature! 🔥
We are SO happy to be welcoming Jared Pelton to our weekly teaching staff as he (mostly) takes over the Tues night 5:30pm Vinyasa class! (Alisha will keep the first Tuesday of the month!)
We asked him some questions so you can catch his vibe...

1) 🔥Tell us about your yoga journey so far! What led you to the practice?
Initially, I was a “guinea pig” for a friend going through yoga teacher training. After a month or so of learning yoga poses and flows, it really started clicking for me and I noticed I simply felt better. During that time, I was also researching and learning more about yoga, including incredible stories of how it changed people’s lives. I was in love with yoga.

As the years went on, I practiced yoga in my home using videos from YouTube. I was also weightlifting and running, exercises I had always done in my adult life, but found I was unexpectedly encountering more injuries. I kept running into repeated roadblocks with exercise.

The physical practice of yoga was becoming my answer. For me, I always felt great afterwards and I wasn’t injuring myself. My mindset began to shift to “focus on yoga” and I did so. I let go of weightlifting and running (for a period of time at least) and started taking in-person yoga classes. In-person yoga classes were a huge leap forward for my practice.

Eventually, the physical practice of yoga opened a doorway for me into teaching yoga. As my yoga practice and teaching continue to evolve, I’m hopeful I can continue to support others who are looking to explore yoga for the first time or revisit it after saying “yoga isn’t for me.” Yoga is truly for everyone, and over the years I've found it has so much to offer both on and off the mat.

2) 🔥You recently completed your 300hr at Om Ananda! How did that training deepen your teaching?
The 300hr training provided me an opportunity to reflect on my current teaching style. I was able to really dig in and notice the nuance of my teaching: areas for improvement, areas I feel strong with, and other areas I could begin to let go of. I found I was able to improve the “how” I teach yoga, with everything from cuing to becoming more comfortable with my teaching style. Furthermore, the experience of diving more deeply into anatomy studies and yoga philosophy was a great way to expand my understanding of the physical practice of yoga and beyond.

My yoga practice also deepened alongside my teaching. Everything from exploring new yoga poses, variations of yoga poses, and building a consistent meditation practice.

3) 🔥You have taught for a non-profit dedicated to serving veterans. Why did you feel called to that work specifically?
During my 200hr yoga teacher training, I had an opportunity to brainstorm different communities I could support with yoga. I immediately thought of the veteran community, due to my family ties and the veteran community I grew up around.

I’ve been fortunate to teach yoga with veterans at Comeback Yoga for over three years now. Over that time, I’ve routinely heard powerful stories from veterans about how yoga offered something that other treatment plans could not; how it supported them in navigating PTSD, lingering effects of both visible and invisible injuries that still shape their lives today, and finding steadiness through challenging moments. Working with veterans and yoga has continually reinforced for me how supportive and impactful this practice can be!

4) 🔥Whats currently lighting up your world?
Hearing other people’s yoga journeys and stories! For example, individuals who are discovering yoga for the first time or revisiting it to try again, and hearing about their experiences and the impacts it has on their lives. Recently a veteran shared with me that he was on the verge of being wheelchair bound, but yoga flipped the script. Over time with a consistent yoga practice, he was able to find healthy movement again and is walking upwards of 3 miles a day.

Additionally, I’m enjoying exploring various yoga styles, workshops (especially at Be Free), and different movement modalities like dance classes at Impulse. A year ago I never would have thought I’d say or write "exploring dance,” but 10 years ago I never thought I’d be exploring yoga and 5 years ago I never thought I’d be teaching yoga. That’s been a reminder for me that growth may not look linear or predictable and yoga was the catalyst for that shift in perspective.

5) 🔥Anything else you would like to share?
Be Free has been an awesome place to deepen my practice and I’m looking forward to being part of the team here supporting others with their yoga practice and journey!

Next Sunday!!
Join Laura Oswald for an afternoon of embodying your vision!
So many of us carry dreams, ideas, creative callings, healing visions, and quiet longings inside of us — yet rarely give them space to be spoken aloud, witnessed, explored, and supported in community.

This workshop is an invitation to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and gently explore what may be wanting to emerge in your life.

Whether you are holding:
• a creative dream
• a life transition
• a community vision
• a healing offering
• a business idea
• a desire for deeper alignment
• or simply a small spark of curiosity…

…you are welcome here.

Through guided somatic practices, reflection prompts, nervous system awareness, journaling, and supportive community sharing, we will create space for our visions, stories, desires, and possibilities to take up room — without pressure, critique, or the need to have everything figured out.

This is not about productivity or perfection.
It is about listening inward, honoring what feels alive, and allowing ourselves to be seen and witnessed in a supportive and grounded environment.

Together, we will explore what it means to bring our inner visions into relationship with ourselves, our bodies, and our community.

Have you met our Earth 🌍 gong?? Every gong carries a unique energy and vibration. Many larger gongs are said to be specifically tuned to the frequencies of planets, elements, etc.
When we purchased our gong several years ago, we thought it would be most beneficial to attune people to the Earth 🌍 (since we are made of, and part of the Earth!)
Receiving the Earth gong is a deep gift. 🙏🏽The sound vibration travels deep into your being and helps create a deep stillness in the mind.

although many of our teachers play the gong during part of savasana, we have 2 classes a week where the full intention is to melt through restorative yoga and an extended gong bath !!
You’re invited to the big unwind:::
☀️Sundays 7-8:15pm with .equestrian777
☀️Wednesdays 7:15-8:30pm with

🔥Teacher Feature! 🔥
Have you met Priscila Rodriguez?? Respira y Sana Wellness She's a gem and both a weekly teacher and a Wellness Practitioner at Be Free.

We've got some schedule shifts happening this summer! Kristen is taking a break from teaching and so Priscila is moving from the Monday noon class (that class is going away for the summer), to the Wednesday evening Restore & Gong Bath, which is now at 7:15pm and 75minutes!

We asked her some questions so you can catch her vibe...
🔥🔥Tell us about your yoga journey so far! What brought you to the practice and why did you feel called to teach?

My yoga journey over the years has been so expansive and beautiful. Initially, I was brought to the practice of yoga 11 years ago as a recommendation from a chiropractor when I was looking for a low impact movement practice. Over the years, this practice has offered me so much more than movement and has truly helped me tap into more unity with my internal wisdom, my mind, and my body. I feel called to teach and share this practice with others with the aim of creating an environment in which folks can also tap into more unity--with their internal wisdom, with their precious body, and with community. It is such a gift to get to share this practice with others and to be reminded again and again how supportive this practice is at any age, any stage, and any chapter of life.

🔥🔥You're taking over the Restore & Gong Bath on Wednesday nights for the summer! Tell us what folks can expect when they come to your class!

Yes, I am taking over the Restore & Gong Bath class on Wednesday nights this summer! This class is one of my favorites offered at the studio and I am excited to bring my own flavor and magic to this class. In my offering of this class, folks are welcome to arrive as they are, are invited to enjoy unwinding the mind and body with some restorative poses, and can receive the healing vibrations of the gong. My intention is to offer a space to move slow, be gentle, and be easeful. I look forward to holding this space for folks to unwind and restore into their evening every Wednesday.

🔥🔥What else are you currently offering at Be Free?
Coming up soon, I have my last two workshops of my Sacred Balance Chakra Series. This series has been a lovely exploration of embodied practices that can support the balancing and nourishment of each chakra. In these workshops, I offer folks a lovely chakra-focused slow yoga movement practice, information about what balance/imbalance can look like in the mind/body/spirit, guided reflection and embodied practices, as well as a Sacred Balance guide to take home that offers additional journaling prompts, embodied practices, and recipes to support your continued balance. These workshops are great for beginners and also great for folks that want to deepen their understanding of the chakras and/or want to find more balance in their bodies through embodied practices. The next workshop is the Sacred Balance: Third Eye Chakra Workshop on Saturday June 13th from 1pm-4pm. The last one is the Sacred Balance: Crown Chakra Workshop on Saturday July 25th from 1pm-4pm. Attendance of prior workshops is not required, I invite you to check it out!

I am also a wellness practitioner at Be Free, offering Integrative Energy Healing Massage and Energy Balancing Reiki Sessions. It is such a gift to get to share loving touch, attuned energy work, and deep reverence of the human body with all my clients. An Integrative Energy Healing Massage with me includes a 60, 75, or 90 minutes massage that incorporates energy-work/reiki to help create more alignment in your chakras during our session. At the end of the session, there is an opportunity for us to discuss any insights we've gained from the energetic body during the session. This is a great option for anyone needing relief in their physical body that also wants to release any energetic blocks being held in the body. An Energy Balancing Reiki Session with me includes 60 or 75 minutes of focused energy-work/reiki to attune to your energetic body and chakras with the aim of creating more ease, spaciousness, and harmony in your energetic body. Each session begins with a brief check-in about your intentions and needs and ends with an opportunity for us to discuss any insights gained from the experience. It is so powerful to see how quickly an Integrative Energy Healing Massage or Energy Balancing Reiki Session can create a shift in someone's lived experience. I'd love to share these offerings with you. Check out more about this on the Wellness Practitioner Page of the Be Free Website and book your next session with me there!

🔥🔥What's currently lighting up your world?
Currently, spending time in my garden is lighting up my world. In many ways, gardening is such a metaphor for the cycles of life: time must be spend preparing the soil and removing anything from it that could get in the way of growth; the soil must receive nourishment and tilling to create space for new seeds; carefully, new seeds are planted with enough room to grow into their fullest expression; the seeds take root into the foundation that's been created and deepen; sprouts arise, offering glimpses of what is to come; dedication is given by watering and weeding to support the potential blossoming of the plant; as it fruits, we harvest the magic and realized potential of our efforts; we enjoy the abundance each plant has to offer; ultimately accepting there will be a final harvest and a closing out of the season. I'm so grateful to be able to witness this beautiful cycle of life through my garden. And, am looking forward to enjoying all the yummy produce that will come from it!

🔥🔥Anything else you want to share?
It feels like big shifts are in the air and like so many of us are navigating different calls to shed, grow, and evolve. These calls to action, regardless of how big or small they are, can be hard, can shake our foundation, can make us come to face the unknown. If this resonates with you, please know you are not alone. This studio and community of Be Free has so much love and support to offer through our classes, through hugs, through our wellness practitioners. Know you are worthy of asking for support, you deserve being witnessed lovingly in your process, and you are worthy of receiving support. If I can be a part of that process by holding space for you in a class, workshop, or session, it would be an honor to support you. Wishing you a week and summer filled with ease, aligned vibrations, and expansive connection
