Join us for a volunteer dig day with Overland Mountain Bike Association. Get your hands dirty, give back to your trails, and be part of the crew that keeps Northern Colorado riding strong.

Come ready to dig, learn, and connect. Tools and instructions provided.

Dig days go until approximately 8pm or sunset, whichever comes first.

OMBA Trail Crew Lower Dadd Gulch Update:
Big time work happening this past week on the trail! Cody was able to complete the remaining stretch of Reroute 3, completing the connector back to old trail and beginning restoration work. The hand crew implemented tons of drainage and new trail features on maintenance sections 3, 2, and 1, completing all of our work down trail from our reroutes! All that is left to wrap up lower Dadd gulch will be reroute 5, which will is underway this week. The crew took Thursday to celebrate this achievement by riding at Curt Gowdy State park. It was great to hear some really positive feedback on all the completed work from trail users last week. The trail is really coming together nicely.

Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol, has had a busy summer so far, helping to keep trails safe, user experiences positive, and being ambassadors between land agencies and the public. On top of our individual patrols, we've hosted patroller training, led the weekly Wednesday social rides, led group rides at the annual campout, hosted trailhead tables to interact with trail users, participated in the City of Loveland - Parks & Recreation trail day, and taken some out-of-town group rides together. We appreciate the opportunity to assist our land agency partners and help the community enjoy the great trails in our area. Thanks Lory State Park - Colorado Parks & Wildlife, City of Fort Collins Natural Areas, Larimer County Natural Resources, U.S. Forest Service-Arapaho & Roosevelt Natl Forests Pawnee Natl Grassland and Wyoming State Parks!

A Colorado Parks and Wildlife State Trails Program grant in the amount of $284,000 has been awarded for the completion of the Upper Danner Pass trail and major work on the Western Lookout Mountain trail. OMBA is looking forward to continuing our partnership with Northern Colorado Trail Riders (NCTR) and the U.S. Forest Service-Arapaho & Roosevelt Natl Forests Pawnee Natl Grassland on this upcoming project. Construction will take place in 2027. Thanks to all for the partnership and collaboration!

Wednesday has rolled around again! Weather permitting, our weekly social mountain bike ride meets at 5:45pm at the Blue Sky parking lot, where we'll break into groups by motivation and/or skill level and ride. All levels welcome! Come meet some fun new riding buddies!

OMBA's Trail Stewardship Crew is getting close to wrapping up Phase 1 work on Lower Dadd Gulch. 4 rerouted sections are complete with 1 remaining. The last reroute will bring the trail's upper end to a new location with a view overlooking sections of Poudre Canyon, Bald Mountain, and the mountains around Red Feather Lakes. Work completed on Lower Dadd to date: 6,658 ft of rerouted trail tread, 2,106 sq ft of rock work, 76 total drainage features built over 9 weeks of work. The final reroute will be about 2,277 ft of rerouted tread. Working through long hot days and even heavy rain, their work is incredibly appreciated! Go ride the trail and let us know what you think!
